New Showroom<br />
in Tbilisi<br />
Vitra was founded in 1950 in Weil am Rhein, Switzerland.<br />
The company started with a staff of 10 employees and moved to Basel in three years.<br />
In 1957 Vitra obtained a license on production of design furniture by Hermann Miller,<br />
George Nelson and Charles & Ray Eames.<br />
In 1967, after 10 years of work, Vitra introduced a unique product - single-piece moulded<br />
console chair, designed by Verner Panton.<br />
Starting with January 1 1984, Vitra became an exclusive manufacturer of Charles &<br />
Ray Eames and George Nelson futniture in Europe and Middle East. From that <strong>da</strong>y onwards,<br />
Vitra is a fully independent company.<br />
Vitra's official representative in Georgia is Opera Design, which launched a new showroom<br />
in Tbilisi on May 18 2012.<br />
Apart from Vitra, Opera Design's new showroom features Belgian Bulo office futniture<br />
as well as Alias and Fantoni products.<br />
In Opera Design showroom you will find a wide range of office and home interior products<br />
created by famous designers, such as Charles & Ray Eames, George Nelson, Hella<br />
Jongerius, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, Isamu Noguchi and others.<br />
