Myths and Mysteries of Die Oude Kaapse Weg
Speaker: Derek Stuart-Findlay
Was there ever an alternative to the coast road to
Simon’s Town – one from Tokai over the Steenberg
mountain? Old written accounts, serious investigations
and some maps and paintings suggest that there was
indeed a passable route. This talk reviews the evidence
and attempts to unravel this mystery.
