Description:<br />

The <strong>NIR</strong>-<strong>Lab</strong> was developed for<br />

• Manufactures of lacquer and raw materials,<br />

• R & D-<strong>Lab</strong>oratories,<br />

• Test <strong>Lab</strong>oratories and<br />

• Application Centers,<br />

which have the need to adapt their products to<br />

the <strong>NIR</strong>-technology or need a <strong>NIR</strong>-radiation<br />

source for the develpment.<br />

• Test samples or flat samples with dimensions<br />

of max. 100 mm x 230 mm.<br />

• Active area: <strong>NIR</strong>-Emitter 250 mm x 120 mm.<br />

• <strong>NIR</strong>-Emission: 200 kW/m 2 , 400 kW/m² or 800<br />

kW/m² (depending on the used emitter type).<br />

• Distance variation between <strong>NIR</strong>-module and<br />

sample up to 300 mm.<br />

• Integrated contact-free temperature measurement<br />

during <strong>NIR</strong>-treatment.<br />

• Continuous adjustable temperature profiles<br />

with power control or closed loop temperature<br />

control, digital controller with numerical<br />

display.<br />

• Adjustable IR-wavelength emission from near<br />

infrared to long wave IR.<br />

System Configuration:<br />

The <strong>NIR</strong>-<strong>Lab</strong> system consists of a 1 high performance<br />

heater module of 250 mm x 120 mm<br />

with six normal burn (200 kW/m 2 ), high burn (400<br />

kW/m 2 ) or super burn <strong>NIR</strong>-Emitters (800 kW/m 2 ).<br />

The test samples can be positioned under a variable<br />

distance to the heater module for the <strong>NIR</strong>treatment.<br />

A special glass containment shields<br />

the <strong>NIR</strong>-module from impurities. The complete<br />

aluminium module body is water cooled.<br />

The focussed, <strong>NIR</strong>-Emission allows a defined,<br />

very short and smooth drying or melting and<br />

curing treatment of coatings. With the given arrangement<br />

of the <strong>NIR</strong>-Emitters and the reflector<br />

systems, a homogenous, efficient and very economical<br />

drying/curing treatment of areas on<br />

temperature sensitive substrates can be ensured.<br />

The contactless temperature measurement<br />

allows a controlled and reproducible processing.<br />

The electrical power supply of the <strong>NIR</strong>-<strong>Lab</strong> system<br />

as well as the separated operator panel with<br />

the control and monitoring unit are made according<br />

to the VDE regulations.<br />

The complete system is inherent safety controlled.<br />

System errors, status conditions and the<br />

process data are monitored. The <strong>NIR</strong>-<strong>Lab</strong> system<br />

is ready for operation within seconds, as<br />

well as can be shut off within seconds. The <strong>NIR</strong>-<br />

<strong>Lab</strong> is CE approved.

Our <strong>NIR</strong>-<strong>Lab</strong> system ensures easy operation for the drying or curing<br />

of wet or powder coatings as well as of thermal curing coatings<br />

systems like adhesives, glues, enamel, thermal surface treatment,<br />

flashing or scorching. The <strong>NIR</strong>-<strong>Lab</strong> system allows you to adapt your<br />

coating systems to the <strong>NIR</strong>-technology as well as develop new application<br />

and drying/curing processes easily.<br />
