2013 Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 FLII

TWO COMPLEMENTARY MOTORING EXPERTS
Automobili Lamborghini
This year marks a great milestone in the history of Automobili Lamborghini. It is indeed 50 years
ago that Ferruccio Lamborghini made a decision that would change the supercar
environment for ever: unable to find satisfaction within the existing manufacturers’ models, he
decided to make his own uncompromisingly Italian GT cars.
The range of legendary models to have made their way out of the Sant’Agata factory’s gates is
truly impressive. From the very first 350 GT to the stunning Countach, the wildly
acclaimed Aventador and the state-of-the-art, pinnacle of carbon technology that is the
Sesto Elemento: every model brought its own very unique contribution to the myth that is the
Lamborghini brand today.
Reiter Engineering
Having successfully developed its own Lamborghini GT cars since 2000, securing 199 victories
and 350 podium positions within GT championships since 2007, Reiter Engineering is
a development structure and a racing team to be reckoned with. They have been the main
constructor of racing cars for Lamborghini since 2000, supplying cars for their own
racing team, but also for other competitors.

A PROMISING COLLABORATION
It is the very first time that a Gallardo GT3 is developed with support from the Automobili
Lamborghini factory and motorsport R&D team. This was made possible by the
creation of Lamborghini’s own in-house motorsport department: the Squadra Corse, which
will be overseeing all driving and racing programs for the company.
This collaboration is the logical next step for both teams. While the Lamborghini R&D
engineers brought their expertise of high performance road cars, the
“speed doctors” at Reiter Engineering arrived bearing the outstanding results of years
of successful Lamborghini GT racing.
The main objective of this joint venture between these two iconic motorsport experts is to
bring the unique road prowess of Automobili Lamborghini’s super sport cars to the track.

2013 GT3 FLII KEY IMPROVEMENTS
Based on the new 2013 Gallardo model, a focus of the new GT3 Squadra Corse’s development is
on long-distance performance, and therefore includes ‘24-hour’ brakes, improved engine cooling
and reduced fuel consumption.
The car features a highly efficient aero kit, a new front splitter, a rear carbon diffuser based on
that developed for the Super Trofeo, and an overall improved power to weight performance,
with the GT3 Squadra Corse’s weight reduced by 25kg over the previous Gallardo GT3 made by
Reiter Engineering.
This new Gallardo GT3 Squadra Corse is also showing exceptionally low running costs, setting a
benchmark with only €9 / km to €12 / km parts rebuild costs.
