About the Authors<br />

Linda M. Hartling, Ph.D., is the Associate Director <strong>of</strong><br />

the Jean Baker Miller Training Institute at the Stone<br />

Center, Wellesley College. She specializes in substance<br />

abuse prevention and community/clinical psychology. She<br />

is co-author <strong>of</strong> papers on humiliation and author <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Humiliation Inventory, a scale to assess the internal<br />

experience <strong>of</strong> derision and degradation.<br />

Jenny K. Ly, class <strong>of</strong> 2001, graduated from Wellesley<br />

College with a B.A. in psychology and Chinese language<br />

and literature.<br />

Najlla Nassery, class <strong>of</strong> 2002, graduated from<br />

Wellesley College with a B.A. in neuroscience and Spanish.<br />

She is currently conducting genetics research at Brigham<br />

and Women's Hospital in Boston. She is pursuing a career<br />

in medicine.<br />

Katherine P. Califa, class <strong>of</strong> 2003, graduated from<br />

Wellesley College with a B.A. in economics and Spanish.<br />

She is now attending Stanford Law School.<br />

Description<br />

This is a selected bibliography <strong>of</strong> the emerging body <strong>of</strong><br />

literature describing relational-cultural research, theory,<br />

and applications. As this list <strong>of</strong> references continues to<br />

grow, we plan to publish periodic updates. We urge<br />

authors <strong>of</strong> relational-cultural research to send copies <strong>of</strong><br />
