MUSCAT — The National
Ferries Company (NFC) will
on Wednesday inaugurate its
Shinas-Khasab route, the third
of its kind after Muscat-Khasab

The industrial estate provides
the required support to
investors, such as infrastructure,
strategic location and
proximity to local and foreign

The estate is only 100 km
from Sohar and is equally distant
from Dubai. This encourages
the setting up of joint
ventures by Gulf investors.

The estate, which stretches
over 5.5 million square metres
is divided into two parts. The
first part 2.5 million square
metres is dedicated to light
industries and the second part
measuring 2 million square
metres is dedicated to industrial
activities. An additional one
million square metre area has
been added as an extension to
the second part.
The estate provides scores
of incentives to investors, such
as tax exemption for five year
at the Company, said that the
project comes in implementation
of the directives of His
Majesty to convert Shinas Port
into a commercial port.
