Contemporary Class Description
The class starts with mobilizing and stretching exercises and builds gradually up
to floor work leading to very physical and dynamic phrases. We will deal with
ways we can organize our body so we can be more efficient, faster and smother
in moving into and out of the floor. By using momentum we will descover
effortless ways to performe demanding movments. We will use the gravity and
the floor as dance partners that can support us and allow us to both bring our
body out of balance and propel us to high jumps. In the class the participants are
encouraged to take risks and explore their physicality, and by using their
strengths to challenge their week points.
Samstag für leichte Mittelstufe, Sonntag erweitert, Einstieg für Fortgeschrittene
möglich – jeweils 15.00 – 17.00 Uhr, Teilnahmekosten: 25,00 € pro Workshop
Partnering- Workshop
After building a relationship of trust and getting familiar with the weight of our
partner, we will deal with basic partnering principals like weight sharing,
working with a common balance and moving in common rhythm. Relationships
between couples, like dependency, manipulation, support, will also come into
play. Importance will be given to the sensitivity of the touch and the non-verbal
communication between the partners. During the workshop we will learn given
phrases, as well as experiment on movement ideas. The participants will be also
asked to produce their own material and explore its possibilities.
Samstag 17. 15 – 18.45 Uhr – Teilnahmekosten:20,00 €
