Get Qualified in Holistic Health and Wellbeing 

NOCN (National Open College Network) – NOCN courses allow you to study at your own pace to gain 

credits towards a qualification. If you move within the UK, it’s easy to continue with your learning. 

Award for Progression in Health and Therapies (NOCN) - Level 1 

If you want to kick start a new career in holistic health and wellbeing, or improve your general knowledge of 

health, why not start here! You’ll study this 90-hour course over 12 weeks to get familiar with Indian Head 

Massage with Anatomy and Physiology, Healthy Living and Nutrition. From success in this course, you can

We’ve designed this course to fit into your busy schedule with a choice of start dates and times to suit you. 

Study four modules in Massage with Anatomy and Physiology, Counselling, Reiki healing, Understanding 

Stress and Stress Management Techniques. Each module needs 30 hours of study to make up this 120 hour 

course. To take your learning further, take a 60-hour nutrition course and achieve a Certificate for Progression

Like the Level 2 Award for Progression in Health and Therapies, you’ll study Massage with Anatomy and 

Physiology, Counselling, Reiki healing, Understanding Stress and Stress Management Techniques over the

bring your total study time to 180 hours.

This Level 3 qualification is recognised world-wide and is suitable for students interested in complementary 

therapies, fitness, health care, nutrition and the sports industry. This course is a pre-requisite to study in 

ITEC Massage or Reflexology. You will cover ‘all’ the systems of the body. Assessment is by multiple choice 

examination. Day time Crèche support is available. This course is suitable if you have a GCSE Science or

ITEC Diploma in Aromatherapy - Level 3 

Completing this course will qualify you as an aromatherapist. You will cover the definition and uses of essential 

oils, practical aromatherapy massage. Assessment includes multiple choice and practical examinations

This course qualifies existing therapists to provide treatments for the purposes of relaxation and stress release 

in the workplace. On-site massage is an increasingly popular business opportunity. You will cover the theory,

I’d been working in a job I didn’t really enjoy, 

and decided to follow a new direction. After 

a lot of hard work (and a lot of fun), I am now 

able to practise as a complementary therapist 

and am considering self-employment. 

Following the ITEC courses means I’m 

now qualified as a massage therapist, 

Indian head massage therapist and 

reflexologist. I’m working towards my 

ITEC qualification in sports massage. 

I found both the practical and theoretical 

aspects of the course really useful.
