Today’s Theme Like Abraham, our father in faith,
we are called by God to a new homeland. We are
not to rest in the material comforts of this world, but
to move onwards towards the land of promise, where
the Lord in whom we put our faith will transfigure our
mortal bodies into the likeness of his glorified body.
Antiphon Of you my heart has spoken, Seek his
face. It is your face, O Lord, that I seek; hide not
your face from me.
Response to the Psalm The Lord is my light and
my salvation.

PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL REPORT
The PPC met on Wednesday, 13 February.
Frs. John and Xavier and Sue Coghlan,
new Assistant Principal, Religious Identity
and Mission (APRIM) for St. Raphael’s
School, were welcomed on to the Council.
Preparation was made to undertake the
Parish census. The PPC is developing a
calendar to assist planning dates for
various groups within the community. A
communication sub-committee has been
established to review the effectiveness of
communication within the parish. Over the
last six months several long standing PPC
members have completed their terms.
During the next few months, the PPC will
be looking to recruit new members. Please
consider whether this is a ministry within
the Parish that you could assist.
On Saturday, 16 March the Parish will
formally welcome Frs. John and Xavier
to the Parish, and Frs. Rick and Joseph,
along with the eight novices, to the
Novitiate.
This will be a BYO everything social
gathering at 7pm in the lawn area at the
Monastery. Everyone most welcome.
ANNUAL CLERGY-LAITY GOLF DAY
Adelaide Shores Patawalonga Golf Course,
Monday, 18 March - 11.45 photo, 12.30pm
shotgun start. Attractive prizes for men and
women. Spouses and friends are welcome
to attend the presentation dinner from
6.15pm. Cost for golf and dinner is $65.

The Parish of St. Paul of the Cross
LENTEN EXPERIENCE
Two opportunities are available to enrich
our Lenten experience. Gospel Reflections
groups will be held at St. Oswald’s Anglican
Church, Parkside, Wednesdays, 10.30am -
noon, and at the Sebastian Centre 7.30pm
- 8.30pm, Tuesday evenings. These
reflections invite us to explore the following
Sundays Gospel readings.
PASSIONIST COMPANIONS
The next meeting of the Passionist
Companions will be held on Friday,
1 March, at 7.30pm.
CARITAS AUSTRALIA
PROJECT COMPASSION
Project Compassion boxes and sets of
envelopes for donations are available at the
church entrance. Please take one home
and make it part of your Lenten journey.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS
Every Friday during the season of Lent,
Stations of the Cross will be held in the
Sacred Garden after the 7am Mass, and in
the evening at 5.45pm.
GOOD FRIDAY - SACRED GARDEN

We are looking for prayer guides (kits
provided), group supervisors (for the
entrance to the Sacred Garden), hospitality
(serving coffee and bitter herb bread), and
parking monitors.
Rosters are at the entrance of the church.
