Specification Section 934 <strong>and</strong> have satisfied the requirements <strong>of</strong><br />

**Interim Approval**<br />
Interim approval is allowed on an evaluation basis. Permission must be requested from the State <strong>Materials</strong><br />
<strong>Research</strong> Engineer prior to use <strong>and</strong> may be on a limited based on the status <strong>of</strong> the overall evaluation.<br />
Note # 1: Type I: Used for patching Reinforced or Non-reinforced Portl<strong>and</strong> Cement<br />
Concrete <strong>and</strong> shall not contain more than 0.6 pounds total chloride per<br />
cubic yard.<br />
Type II: Used for patching Non-reinforced Portl<strong>and</strong> Cement Concrete only <strong>and</strong> may<br />
contain more than 0.6 pounds total Chloride per cubic yard.<br />
Type III: Used for Vertical <strong>and</strong> Horizontal Patching.<br />
Type IV: Used for patching concrete or asphalt <strong>and</strong> these products are elastomeric<br />
type materials.<br />

are cementitious, rapid setting, structural repair mortar.<br />
These materials can be used as received by adding water or, if required, an<br />
activator solution according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Some<br />
manufacturers allow additional aggregate to be added at the jobsite to<br />
increase the yield. This shall not be done unless, approval is given by the<br />
<strong>Office</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Materials</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Research</strong>.<br />
These materials contain no aggregate. The aggregate (fine <strong>and</strong>/or coarse)<br />
must be added by the user according to the manufacturer's<br />
recommendations.<br />
