TECHKON GmbH is a leading manufacturer of measuring devices for the 

Graphic Industry, located in Königstein near Frankfurt/Germany. 



Over its 28-year history, the company has experienced steady growth as supplier 

of densitometers, color measurement systems and software solutions for 

applications in pre-press and print. 

Founder 

The company is private owned and was founded in 1984 by Brigitte and Dr. 

Harald Krzyminski and is managed today by Ulrich Krzyminski and Albin 

Baranauskas.

consultancies and OEM partners like Cron, KBA, Komori, Ryobi and Manroland.

SpectroPlate 



• SpectroPlate is a mobile plate measuring 

device based on image analyzing technology 

for all kind of offset plates and screening 

technologies. 

• The 1 Megapixel video chip leads to a 

resolution of 1 micrometer per pixel. Highest 

accuracy even for 10 um FM screening. 

• The image is transferred to the video chip via 

a coated precision optical lens system „Made 

in Germany“. 

• By using two processors the measuring time 

is only 1 second.

SpectroPlate 



• Real time image in the display with zoom 

function allows a perfect visible control. 

• With one battery chargement approx. 10.000 

measurements can be done. 

• For data transmission to a PC the device is 

equipped with a USB port. 

• The light source is made of durable LED‘s with a 

broadband spectral range which guarantee a 

homogeneous illumination of the measured area.
