The BBC is committed to making programmes that reflect the
diversity of modern Britain and that are relevant to all our
viewers. There are over 11 million disabled people in the UK.
8 out of 10 disabled people became disabled during their
working life or later. Disability can happen to anyone.
We actively seek and nurture disabled talent for all BBC
programmes across all genres. This directory has been created
to help programme makers find and cast a broad range of
professional disabled actors and performers.
This directory has been compiled in conjunction with Spotlight.
