Group Director -- Learning First Operations Directed five departments of over 70<br />

staff, and annual budget over 4 million. Personally responsible for designing and<br />

implementing a successful strategic plan for the on-going development of a multimedia<br />

line of educational software, supporting management systems, documentation and<br />

associated publications. This position managed the positions below, held previously.<br />

Group Director -- Product Enhancement and Corporate Partnerships Directed staff<br />

which built relationships with other software publishers, including Microsoft, IBM, the<br />

Learning Company. Administered grants totaling $5 million from National Science<br />

Foundation, California Department of Education, Florida Department of Education.<br />

Responsible for the design of all improvements to language arts, math, science and early<br />

childhood software products. Directed staff that evaluated and acquired the rights to<br />

products from other software publishers, including copyrights and permissions.<br />

Personally designed on-line assessment tests and supervised department responsible for<br />

computerized evaluation of all curriculum, placement tests, and diagnostic inventories.<br />

Program Director -- Home Learning Systems Designed and built computer products<br />

which students and parents use in their homes to complement their school programs.<br />

Manager -- State Instructional Programs Customized computer product to state<br />

mandated tests. Required knowledge of criterion referenced and normed tests, strong<br />

testing ethics and close relationship with state level officials in New York, Florida,<br />
