Board Member/Course Designer/Instructor.<br />
Conceptualize, design, and prototype new doctoral program for approval of Colorado Higher<br />
Learning Commission. Teach and design 30+ graduate online courses to high student<br />
satisfaction, including educational technology, educational law and policy, curriculum and<br />
literacy. Students are worldwide, and most are inservice educators. Awarded 2007 Faculty<br />
Excellence in Course Development award for doctoral prototype course development.<br />

California Connections Academy, President of the Founding Board of Directors,<br />
Principal/Administrator<br />
Manage start-up of two virtual independent-study charter schools for K-9 students,<br />
authorized by San Diego City Schools and San Juan Capistrano School District, including<br />
writing charter proposal and obtaining charters, establishing policy, hiring management<br />
company, negotiating with districts, and recruiting teaching staff and students. School spans<br />
four counties in southern California. Primary liaison to Board of Directors, school district<br />
for charter oversight, and Connections Academy corporate staff. Also coordinate the<br />
moderators for the student message board, which serves 7000 children in ten states, and the<br />
schools’ community-building activities (newsletter, field trips, message boards). Managed<br />
growth of school from inception to over 400 students in 18 months.<br />

National <strong>University</strong>, faculty, educational technology program. Design online curriculum<br />
and teach online and on ground in the program leading to a Masters of Science in<br />
Educational Technology. Taught 22 classes, 15 of them online. Recruit, train and supervise<br />
fulltime and adjunct instructors. Advise students, supervise thesis research by graduate<br />
students. Students are world-wide, including military serving on ground and on sea in the<br />
Middle East. Most students are practicing or aspiring educators who want to extend their<br />
skills via teaching with technology.<br />

Alliant <strong>International</strong> <strong>University</strong>, on-line instructor. Design Internet courses and provide<br />
instruction on current issues in education and educational assessment. Students are<br />
international, and conversations on world events are pivotal to our learning.<br />

Western Governors <strong>University</strong>, graduate evaluator. Evaluate Learning and Technology<br />
theses in the domains of instructional design, measurement and evaluation, technology<br />
