Invitation to Stockholm
Dear friends and colleagues,
It is a pleasure and an honour for me to welcome you to Europerio 6 in Stockholm June 4-6 2009. Time really flies and it
is important that you already now reserve those dates for the biggest and most prestigious meeting in periodontology and
implant dentistry held in Europe. Why not go online directly on our webpage www.efp.net and make an early registration
ensuring you to get a good deal and the hotel accommodation that you really would like to have.
Europerio 6 is the meeting place between science, clinical practice and our industry partners in the field of periodontology
and implant dentistry. We in the organizing committee have spared no effort in designing the program for your
different needs as dentists, specialists and dental hygienists. Europerio 6 is the natural arena where the latest science
is presented by the world’s most famous speakers. This is however not enough, we have specifically instructed our
speakers to answer focused questions ensuring you that you really will be given “take home messages” applicable in
your own clinical practice. Europerio is also a fantastic opportunity for young researchers to present their data and
to interact with colleagues interested in the same research field. Last time more than 700 abstracts were accepted
indicating the enormous research interest in periodontology and implant dentistry. I would be more than happy to see
this Europerio attract even more young researchers from all over the globe.
While you are in Sweden, allow a few extra days to really explore Stockholm “The Capital of Scandinavia” and its
archipelago, or why not visit “The Glass Country” in Småland. Whatever your choice will be I am sure that you will
enjoy coming.
Please mark in your agenda Europerio 6 in Stockholm, June 4-6, 2009 or reserve a place immediately on www.efp.net
so you won’t forget it. I promise you won’t regret it.
We look forward on seeing you here.
Stefan Renvert
Chairman
Call For Abstracts “Online”
Abstracts of scientific presentations (both basic and clinical research) as well as clinical presentations (case series,
innovative surgical or therapeutic approaches, etc…) should be submitted for consideration. ONLY online abstract
submissions before NOVEMBER 30 th 2008 will be accepted.
An international abstract committee will evaluate the submission and decide upon its selection as oral or poster
presentation. The abstracts selected will be included in the final program.
The presentation of a clinical or research communication carries the obligation to register at the Europerio Meeting.
For further information regarding abstract submission go to www.efp.net
Jaccard – EFP Research Prize Competition
The EFP is pleased to announce the Jaccard-EFP Research Prize competition. The Prize is aimed with the object
University of Geneva.
The prize is awarded once every three years at the meeting of the EFP. It is open to all members of the Societies of
Periodontology which are part of the EFP. The research work must not have been published previously or presented
at any meeting. The manuscripts should be prepared according to the “Instructions to Authors” of the Journal of
Clinical Periodontology as the three best entries will be published in this Journal. Manuscripts should be sent to the
EFP office (see address below). Deadline for manuscript submission: November 30 th , 2008. An International Panel
will be selected and will select three nominees, based on the quality of the submitted manuscripts, who will participate
in the final competition. The nominees for the prize (first authors must present the paper) will be personally informed by
the EFP European Co-ordinator at least three months prior to the date of EuroPerio. Accommodation, travel expenses
