On behalf of the Lebanese Society of Cardiology (LSC)
and as the chairman of the Heart Failure Working Group
(WG) of the LSC, I am pleased to welcome you to the
First Middle East Heart Failure Congress taking place on
May 10-12, 2012 at Le Bristol Hotel, Beirut, Lebanon.
Heart Failure has become an epidemic worldwide and its
prevalence continues to increase with a high mortality and
hospitalization rates despite all progress in cardiovascular
medicine. Therapy is challenging too and it requires a
multidisciplinary approach for its success.
This meeting will offer a high academic value as it
integrates the old, present and future of Heart Failure
at the diagnostic and therapeutic levels. Highly qualified
Heart Failure specialists from U.S.A. & Europe will share
with us their expertise in this dynamic field. There will be
updates on biomarkers, acute, right ventricular and
diastolic heart failure, cardiorenal syndrome, devices,
and heart transplantation.
