The Consul Museum Board was excited to share reports of their
successes, and an interesting and entertaining picture show at
their Annual General Meeting on Monday, March 25th. Thank
you to all who came out and supported our event!
Our board will be keeping the same bright faces and busy hands
for another year. Hats off to Joan Parsonage, Yvonne Leismeister
and Jackie Zilkie for stepping into another 2-year term! Ann
Behrman, Louis Stetar and Susan Pridmore make up the rest of
our devoted team.
If you have visited our website lately...www.consulmuseum.ca….
you will have noticed that more stories are being added to the
Pioneer Voices page. We feel privileged that these people have
allowed us to capture their memories and share them with you.
Look online to find videos of Laura Parsonage, Louis Stetar,
Sigurd Brekhus, Jim Pridmore, Beulah Pettyjohn, Norm Tenborg,
Archie Smiley, Helen Schmidt and Les Fairbrother. And more are
coming soon.
Past and current issues of The Reno Reader can also be found
on the website. If you or anyone you know is interested in being
on an email notification list, just send us your email address and
when a new issue gets posted, you will be the first to know.
Subscriptions by mail are also available for $20 per year
(basically the cost of postage and envelopes).
Looking ahead, the Museum would like to compile a picture
show to have on display for Consul’s Centennial Celebration.
Weddings, Consul & area events, everyday life, family times—all
types of pictures. We can bring our scanner to you, so the pictures
never have to leave your possession. Call one of us to arrange
to add your photos to the display!

We need local representation on the Pioneer Co-op
Board of Directors. In order for this to happen, we
need your support by attending the annual meeting
in Swift Current April 2nd at 7:00pm in the
i-Plex Building to vote for Linda Seifert. If you are
willing and able to attend, we will try to get carpooling
organized in order to get as many votes as we
can. This is crucial for the future of our local
Co-op. Please call Linda at 306 299 7555 or
Warren at 306 299 7600 if you are willing to make the commitment
to attend and we will arrange for transportation. Linda
believes in the future of the Pioneer Co-op Association and the part
they will play in the future of our local stores. Thank you for your
support.
