MINUTES OF THE RWM HELD ON <strong>10</strong>TH OCTOBER<br />
1. The president called the 587 th meeting & TRF seminar to order.<br />
2. The Sergeant-at-Arms Arms adorned the President with the Collar before the National Anthem.<br />
3. The President welcomed all the members, Annes, Spouses & guests<br />
followed by the meeting.<br />
4. The President gave a brief report<br />
<strong>of</strong> Sri Suvajit Show, a child <strong>of</strong> 12 years<br />
age, who stays in the outskirts <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>Durgapur</strong>, with congenital heart<br />
ailments. He was operated on 9<br />

7. The opening lecture <strong>of</strong> the<br />
seminar was delivered by Dr.<br />
Satyajit Basu, Chairman, The<br />
Mission Hospital. A scintillating presentation on “A Healthy<br />
Heart” was followed by an equally lauding declaration that The<br />
Mission Hospital ital would be lending their hand in fixing<br />
pacemakers to poor patients at a cost <strong>of</strong> `35,000.<br />
<strong>District</strong> overview, DDF sharing with focus<br />
areas on the pilot districts was<br />
elaborated by the DG Rtn. Ashok<br />
Agarwal.<br />
9. Though PDG Rtn. Dr. K.R. Dey<br />
started his oration pointing on the 3<br />
Mistakes <strong>of</strong> His Life, but he was clear in his statements on the<br />
<strong>District</strong> Grants. It was as usual informative and everybody<br />
listened to it with rapt attention.<br />

Global Grant & VTT. Many nitty-gritty <strong>of</strong> the issues <strong>of</strong> Global Grant<br />
were made lucid by the speaker in a very small time.<br />
11. Global Grant Application process &<br />
200 Million Polio Challenge Fund were the<br />
two major aspects that were dealt with<br />
our DG Rtn. Ashok Agarwal. The clarity<br />
with which he presented a case study on<br />
the Global Grant Application Process demands applauds from one<br />
and all.<br />
12.PDG Rtn. Prabhat Kedia inspired us with his evergreen voice on the “Stewardship” <strong>of</strong> RI.<br />
13. Finally it was the time for which everybody waited for. PDG<br />
Rtn. Ajay Chhabra <strong>of</strong> RI Dist 3250 captivated the entire audience<br />
with the topic “Strengthen your<br />
Foundation & Response”.<br />
14. This was followed by a<br />
brief interactive session and<br />
followed by declarations from<br />
the various clubs & individuals to<br />
commit on the donations for the TRF.<br />
15.From our club Rtns. Ajoy Kr. Paul, Girish Kumar, Dr. Asit<br />
Chatterjee, Dr. Miloni Sengupta gave commitments for becoming PHF and Rtn. Reeta<br />
Banerjee committed to become an MPHF.<br />
