MINUTES OF THE RWM HELD ON 10TH OCTOBER
1. The president called the 587 th meeting & TRF seminar to order.
2. The Sergeant-at-Arms Arms adorned the President with the Collar before the National Anthem.
3. The President welcomed all the members, Annes, Spouses & guests
followed by the meeting.
4. The President gave a brief report
of Sri Suvajit Show, a child of 12 years
age, who stays in the outskirts of
Durgapur, with congenital heart

7. The opening lecture of the
seminar was delivered by Dr.
Satyajit Basu, Chairman, The
Mission Hospital. A scintillating presentation on “A Healthy
Heart” was followed by an equally lauding declaration that The
Mission Hospital ital would be lending their hand in fixing
pacemakers to poor patients at a cost of `35,000.

9. Though PDG Rtn. Dr. K.R. Dey
started his oration pointing on the 3

District Grants. It was as usual informative and everybody
listened to it with rapt attention.

10. This was followed by the lecture of PDG Rtn. Tapan Roy on
Global Grant & VTT. Many nitty-gritty of the issues of Global Grant
were made lucid by the speaker in a very small time.
11. Global Grant Application process &
200 Million Polio Challenge Fund were the
two major aspects that were dealt with
our DG Rtn. Ashok Agarwal. The clarity
with which he presented a case study on
the Global Grant Application Process demands applauds from one
and all.
12.PDG Rtn. Prabhat Kedia inspired us with his evergreen voice on the “Stewardship” of RI.
13. Finally it was the time for which everybody waited for. PDG
Rtn. Ajay Chhabra of RI Dist 3250 captivated the entire audience
with the topic “Strengthen your
Foundation & Response”.
14. This was followed by a
brief interactive session and
followed by declarations from
the various clubs & individuals to
commit on the donations for the TRF.
15.From our club Rtns. Ajoy Kr. Paul, Girish Kumar, Dr. Asit
Chatterjee, Dr. Miloni Sengupta gave commitments for becoming PHF and Rtn. Reeta
Banerjee committed to become an MPHF.
