Beijing<br />
One of the worlds greatest cities, Beijing serves as the<br />
capital for the peoples republic of China and is<br />
known for its opulent palaces, temples and huge<br />
stone walls and gates.<br />
This photo journal documents the progression<br />
through China from West to East and from<br />
Confucianism to Taoism.<br />
The photos enclosed capture the rich tradition and<br />
history of the chinese people, the governance of china<br />
and the cultural and archite<strong>ct</strong>ural relics that span<br />
nearly 600 years.<br />
From Beijing’s Forbidden City of the Ming and Qing<br />
dynasties, to the modern reformation of Shanghai in<br />
the 1990’s and the development of Pudong into the<br />
major economic and archite<strong>ct</strong>ural center it is today.
