College with the MEGA Life and Health Insurance Company and American International
Group with an effective date of August 1, 2004. Motion carried unanimously by those
members present, including the Student Trustees’ advisory votes.
Further authorization was granted for the Vice Chancellor, Finance and Facilities, to
execute the agreements for a total of $111,503 on behalf of the District.
Item 3.g: By the block vote, authorization was granted to renew the claims administration
services with Southern California Risk Management Associates, Inc. and to enter into an
agreement with ACE American Insurance Company through Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. for
FY 2004/2005 for a combined amount of $284,484.00.
Further authorization was granted for the Vice Chancellor, Finance and Facilities, to
execute the contracts on behalf of the District.
Item 3.h: By the block vote, authorization was granted to enter into an agreement with
Diana C. Stroud, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $90,000 to deliver fee-based training.
The contract will run from July 29, 2004 through December 30, 2004.
Further authorization was granted to authorize the Director of Purchasing to execute the
contract on behalf of the District.
Item 3.i: By the block vote, authorization was granted to enter into an agreement with the
Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District through June 30, 2005 to enable the School
of Continuing Education to use the property to offer classes at no cost to the School of
Continuing Education unless the School of Continuing Education requests maintenance
and custodial support outside the normal hours of operation.
Further authorization was granted to allow the Provost for the School of Continuing
Education to execute the agreement on behalf of the District and to pay any cost
associated with the use outside the normal hours of operation.
Item 3.j: By the block vote, authorization was granted to enter into an agreement with The
Learning Curve and Technology Service Group to provide on-site (company site),
instruction in Basic Skills, ESL, GED, Computer Applications, Computer-Based Training
and ABE, as well as administrative services and other instructional services as identified at
UAW-Labor Employment and Training Corporation (LETC) on behalf of General Motors
Service Parts Operation, Burbank, California, for an amount not to exceed $42,000 for
each contractor, for the training services to begin on July 19, 2004 and to be completed by
June 30, 2005.
Further authorization was granted to authorize the Vice Chancellor, Finance and Facilities,
to execute the agreement and any amendments on behalf of the District.
