• Sponsored research activity: thirty three research proposals presented, twenty two<br />

funded ($713,650).<br />

• Fully introduction of two electrical engineering and three-construction management<br />

courses on WebCT.<br />

MCO Environmental Inc. and ALDEVAL ARCHITECTS (1997 - present)<br />

• Electrical and air conditioning commercial and industrial building projects.<br />

Cuban Academy of Science - (1990-1992)<br />

• Project director for the construction of a digital computer controlled pick-and-place<br />

manipulator of silicon wafers. The design management included coordinating the<br />

design team, composed by electrical and mechanical engineers, for continuous<br />

improvement, and checking that the design confirms and satisfies the stated<br />

requirements.<br />

Cuba, Ministry of Constructions - (1981-1990)<br />

• Design, construction and installation of sequential starters for asphalt processing<br />

plants.<br />

• Member of the Commission for the Construction of a Subway in the City of Havana.<br />

Developed alternative comparisons for control systems.<br />

Cuba, Ministry of Nutrition - (1984-1986)<br />

• Directed the design, construction and installation of an information and control system<br />

for electrical pump stations at a brewery plant. The management included<br />

establishment of scheduling and staffing requirements for producing project definition,<br />

contract administration, as well as the technical work supervision.<br />

City of Havana, Office of the Mayor - (1982-1987)<br />

• Selection of an information system for the Havana aqueduct based on the optimization<br />

of the electric energy and water consumption. Directed the project group that included<br />

civil, electrical and electronic engineers.<br />

• Selection and installation of a Carbon Monoxide level measurement and alarm system<br />

in the Havana bay tunnel.<br />

Cuba, Ministry of Agriculture - (1978-1982)<br />

• Project of a distributed control system for a 30,000 ha. citrus farm irrigation.<br />

Optimization of the electric energy and water consumption. Directed the electronic<br />

design of the control and communication equipment.<br />

• Design and installation of a measurement system for the transmission of information of<br />

the water level in a dam. The work included besides the electronic design, the direction<br />

of the construction of the 8 miles communication line and construction of the<br />

equipment base in the dam, work scheduling and contract administration.
