When speaking, are you gracious and kind?
Do you say things like, “How are you today?”
“Thank you.” “I appreciate your help.” “What is
your name?” “You really do well.”
When sharing your home, do not keep your
guest guessing. Do you show them where the
towels, soap, and shampoo are? Are there places
to hang clothes in the bathroom so that they do
not have to put their clothes on the floor? Do
they know where the tea and coffee pots are?
Might they have special needs? Be careful about
putting them in an uncomfortable situation
by leaving them alone with a member of the
opposite sex.
“So, as those who have been chosen of God,
holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion,
kindness, humility, gentleness and patience;
bearing with one another, and forgiving each
other, whoever has a complaint against anyone;
just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you”
(Colossians 3: 12-13, nasb).
