INTRONGlas PUH 4450
Product Data Sheet Effective January 14, 2005
Material designation: INTRONGlas PUH 4450
Product Number: 310002 (Component A and B)
Color: Transparent
Characteristics: INTRONGlas PUH is a solvent-free, low-viscosity protective
coating based on a highly reactive SH/En system that can be
used preferrably in the thick film range (doming coating, film
thickness: 1-2 mm). Very flexible, transparent protective
coatings can be used by means of irradiation to effectively
enhance the esthetic effect of print designs on polyester, PVC
and metal films and on aluminium and plastic formed pieces.
With INTRONGlas PUH presentation and promotional objectives
can reach their full potential by combining content, esthetics and
identification.
Preparatory Surface Treatment: The surfaces that are to be coated have to be cleaned
using ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and then coated
immediately after evaporation of the solvent.
Use: INTRONGlas PUH 4450 consists of components A and
B that have to be weighed out and mixed together right
before application.
The components of INTRONGlas PUH 4450 and
materials already mixed must be stored so that they are
not exposed to light.
To make the coating, both components must be weighed
out at the following ratio:
Component A : 1.0 g
Component B : 2.0 g
Thoroughly mix the components A and B by stirring (for approx. 5 minutes) after carefully
weighing them (± 0.1 g). Once the solution is free of bubbles (approx. 30 minutes), it may be
used for coating. The mixture can be safely stored in refrigeration and without exposure to
light for approx. 5 days.
INTRONGlas PUH 4450 can be applied with the aid of suitable metering equipment
(manual or pneumatic) in continuous or intermittent process. By eliminating pot lifes and
complicated cleaning processes as a result of production cycles, it is possible to achieve very
economic effects.
Setting: INTRONGlas PUH 4450 hardens with the aid of the
INTRON LHG-3 light curing device. The exposure times
range between 3 and 12 minutes depending on film
thickness. This should be tested, however, in preliminary
tests with a small batch.

Delivery form: INTRONGlas PUH 4450 (components A and B) comes in
500 g, 1000 g and 5000 g special containers.
Storage: The components A and B of INTRONGlas PUH 4450 may
be safely stored at room temperature and without
exposure to light for at least 3 months. The compound
(components A + B) may be safely stored for 5 days in
refrigeration.
refrigeration
Safety information: Information about hazards, labeling, safety measures and
transport is available in the relevant Material Safety Data
Sheet.
The necessary safety measures for handling, information
about the Hazardous Materials Directive, TA-Luft,
maximum working place concentrations and other
environment-related data can be taken from the EU
Material Safety Data Sheet for INTRONGlas PUH 4450.
