Southwest Interdisciplinary Research Center (SIRC), Arizona State University, funded<br />
by the National Institutes of Health (August 2008-July 2010). Served as a predoctoral<br />
research fellow at a research center focused on health disparities and<br />
community outreach targeting drug abuse, mental health and HIV/AIDS. Conducted<br />
data analysis and report writing; implemented and helped develop the Families in<br />
Action Curriculum, a school-based parent intervention to enhance parent-child<br />
communication; developed a Latin American adaptation of the Keepin’ it REAL<br />
Curriculum, a nationally-recognized school-based drug prevention program.<br />
