Interoperability<br />
● CASA formats:<br />
– VLA export, UVFITS, Measurement Set, SDM<br />
● Loses FITS calibration, flags, pol. leakage etc. tables<br />
– Apply these first e.g. SPLIT<br />
● No FITS antenna table keyword for antenna diameter<br />
– Need to edit LOFAR source table, ATCA velocities<br />
● Usually due to data provider writing dodgy formats<br />
● But CASA should allow array properties in data table<br />
● RadioNet ALBiUS interoperability workpackage<br />
– Implement missing algorithms (cooperate w. NRAO)<br />
– Improve CASA/AIPS interoperability at key points<br />
● Via Parseltongue (python AIPS wrapper)<br />
● Look for CASA strengths, not exact translation<br />
