A woman reaches State Pension age on 6 April 2007. The tax year before the year in
which State Pension age is reached will be 2006/07. The number of tax years between
1978/79 and 2006/07 is 29. Apart from the figures shown for the qualifying level for
basic State Pension, all other figures used are for illustrative purposes only.
