Ikon sostituisce il blasonato Hero. Le sue caratteristiche sono tali da renderlo un vero gioiello dedicato all’agonismo,
ma ad un rapporto qualità/prezzo di assoluto interesse. Predisposto Di2 ma compatibile anche con il cambio
tradizionale, Ikon è realizzato con la tecnologia HPMS (HIGH PRESSURE MODULAR SYSTEM) che utilizza l’anima
gonfiabile all’interno dello stampo a pressioni di circa 100psi, tali da comprimere le fibre in modo assolutamente
uniforme. Inoltre, l’alta pressione fa espellere il collante in eccesso: la struttura è più compatta e dunque, più
resistente, con migliorate proprietà meccaniche. Con questa tecnologia poi, le fibre possono essere compattate
anche in modo selettivo. In Ikon tutti i cavi scompaiono all’interno del telaio.
Il suo tubo diagonale alloggia la batteria del cambio elettronico Di2. La scatola movimento è molto ampia e si
adatta a tutti i tipi di Press Fit. I foderi posteriori sono studiati per la massima rigidezza, lo sterzo è conico e
l’esclusivo reggisella Monolink, disegno custom Olympia con forma aero, non è integrato come in Boost, ma
dotato di collarino a scomparsa; può tuttavia diventare compatibile all’uso di una sella con telaio tradizionale,
tramite l’utilizzo di un kit di adattamento.

Ikon replaces the glorious Hero. Its characteristics are such as to make it a true jewel, offered at an amazing
quality/price ratio. Designed for the Di2, but compatible also to the traditional gear change, Ikon is made with
the HPMS construction technology. This process, allows using the inflatable core inside the mould at pressures
of approx. 100 psi, so as to compress the fibers in an absolutely uniform way. At the same time, high
pressure causes the glue in excess to be expelled. This very compact structure is a stronger structure,
with improved mechanical characteristics. In Ikon all cables disappear inside the frame. Its innovative
down tube accommodates the battery of the Di2 electronic gear changer.
The bottom bracket is very large and adjusts to all types of Press Fit. The rear fork blades are studied
for maximum stiffness. The head tube is tapered and the exclusive aero shaped Monolink seat
post, design by Olympia, is not built-in like in Boost, but features a concealed clamp; it can be
compatible to traditionally framed saddles thanks to an adapting kit.
