The pages must be reproduced and folded in order to obtain a booklet A5 (+/- 148.5 mm width x 210 mm height). When folding, make sure you keep the good numbering when you turn the pages of the I/B. Don’t change the page numbering. Keep the language integrity. For the perfect taste, operate the jug kettle with fresh water in order to clean any residue left from the manufacturing process. When the appliance has cooled down, repeat the process 3 times with fresh water, before rinsing. OPERATION • Always remove the jug from the power base before filling it. • Raise the lid and fill the tank with fresh water paying attention not to fill under the "MIN" mark and above the "MAX" mark in the kettle. You can see the level thanks to the transparent water level indicator. • Close the lid by pressing it down until it you hear a click. Make sure it closes correctly. • Put the jug onto the power base, plug into the wall socket and switch on. The pilot light on the handle will come on. If it does not come on, check if the jug kettle is placed correctly on its base. If the problem persists, contact the nearest customer service. • The jug kettle will switch off automatically when the water is boiling. However, you can switch it off anytime by pressing the on/off switch. • For instant reboiling, wait until water has cooled down and switch on the appliance again. SAFETY CUT-OUT • This jug kettle is protected with an automatic safety device if accidentally switched on without water. • In this case, switch off the appliance and wait about 10 minutes for the element to cool. Then fill the jug kettle with cold water. This will reset the safety device. • The kettle may then be used as normal. • Should the problem persist, please contact the nearest customer service. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE • Before attempting any cleaning operation, make sure the appliance is unplugged from the supply socket and fully cooled down. • To clean the exterior surfaces, simply wipe over with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly. To remove scale from the inner walls of the kettle and from the filter you can use a soft brush. • Never use abrasive products • On no account must the jug kettle or its power base be immersed in water. DESCALING To remove scale from the jug kettle, use products made especially available for this purpose. For this reason, as indicated by the symbol on the rating label or on the packaging, your appliance should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. The user has the right to bring it to a municipal collection point performing waste recovery by means of reuse, recycling or use for other applications in accordance with the directive.
