What a busy March we had! It looks like April, May and June will
be just as busy at the Chino Basque Club!! Next up... April 28th
we will have our monthly fundraiser, and after lunch there will
be a Youth Mus Tournament. All kids are
welcome!
Welcome to our newest members, Daniel
Gamboa and Marisol Leonis Mullen. We are
always happy to have new members!!
Dancing is gearing up again for our youth groups this month,
and the first practice was on April 14th at 4pm. Check with
your age-group coordinators for specifics, and
remember these groups are open to all.
LEARN Basque? Ages 16 and older
If you are interested in learning Basque, in the
Basque Country, this summer you may have an
opportunity. From July 1st to the 12th, at the
barnetegi Maizpide, you will have intensive courses in Euskera.
You will attend 6 hours of class every day and participate in
various cultural activities in Basque as well as field trips on Sundays.
The cost for classes, room and board is 414 euros. Contact

The Chino Basque Club is pleased to
offer scholarships to students who will be attending a four-year
college or university in the fall.
Minimum Requirements: In order to qualify, you must:
Be attending a four-year college or university
Be the child of Chino Basque Club member(s)
Be (or have been) involved in Chino Basque Club activities
Have a minimum 3.0 GPA
DEADLINE: JULY 15, 2013
