SIDs terminate at the point where the SID designator joins the filed flight plan ATS route.<br />
All aircraft on completion of SIDs shall join the flight plan route.<br />
Pilots are required to fly tracks specified in SIDs by taking into account the known<br />
estimated wind conditions.<br />
The minimum PDG 3.3% has not been mentioned in the text of SIDs. The climb gradients in<br />
excess of 3.3% have been specified at the beginning of SID description for both the<br />
runways separately as a NOTE.<br />
All radials and DME distances are related to Chennai VOR/DME (MMV) unless<br />
specifically mentioned otherwise. The coordinates of VOR/DME (MMV) are 12°59’36.1”<br />
N 080°10’14.5” E in WGS-84 system.<br />

The pilots after airborne shall advise SID designator, level vacated rounded off to the<br />
nearest 100 feet and SSR code to radar controller.<br />
SID shall not be cancelled by the controller until the aircraft reaches the minimum<br />
vectoring altitude (2300 feet.).<br />
Cancellation of SID is pre-requisite for radar vectoring. Radar Controller may, at his own<br />
discretion amend the flight path of the departing aircraft in order to expedite the<br />
uninterrupted climb and descent of the traffic. On completion of vectoring, aircraft shall not<br />
be reassigned SID. However the aircraft may be cleared to proceed direct to next way point<br />
of flight plan route.<br />
The entire ATC clearance including the departure instructions in the form of SID shall be<br />
passed to aircraft prior to commencement of push back / start up.<br />
Pilots are advised not to request the direct routing on their own. However, controller after<br />
assessing the traffic may clear the aircraft to intercept the designated ATS route direct.<br />
Pilots unable to fly the RNAV SIDs may request for alternate clearance. The Non-RNAV<br />
SIDs may be used for such aircraft. Radar separation shall be maintained between aircraft<br />
following RNAV and non – RNAV SIDs.<br />

The aircraft shall not climb above the level specified for each SID unless authorized by<br />
ATC.<br />
Radio Communication Failure Procedures<br />
If the Communication Failure occurs during the departure phase of flight while either on<br />
radar vectors or on pilot navigation, the procedure to be implemented by the pilot must<br />
ensure that the aircraft remains in the controlled airspace and has the required obstacle<br />
clearance. It must also provide the ATC with sufficient time, upon recognition of the<br />
failure, to clear the other traffic from the climb out route expected to be followed by aircraft<br />
experiencing the failure. Therefore, the following communications failure procedures shall<br />
be followed :-<br />

a) Transponder equipped aircraft shall squak 7600.<br />
b) Pilot Navigation SIDs<br />
On the recognition of communication failure maintain FL70 or the level<br />
assigned by ATC, whichever is higher until 30 DME (MMV). Thereafter,<br />
climb to flight plan level and continue to follow the SID until termination<br />
point. If the communication failure takes place beyond 30DME, continue to<br />
follow the SID, maintain the last assigned level by ATC, if any, for two<br />
minutes and then climb to flight plan level.<br />
c) When under Radar Vector<br />
On the recognition of failure proceed as follows :-<br />
i) inside 15 DME (MMV) maintain last assigned heading until 20 DME,<br />
climb to FL55 or the level assigned by ATC whichever is higher. After 20<br />
DME climb to FL70 or the last level assigned by ATC whichever is<br />
higher and proceed directly to intercept the flight plan route.<br />
ii) at or beyond 15DME (MMV) maintain last assigned heading for 2<br />
minute, climbing to FL70 or the last level assigned by ATC whichever is<br />
higher. Then proceed directly to intercept the flight plan route.<br />
iii) five minutes after recognition of failure commence climb to flight plan<br />
level<br />
2. STANDARD INSTRUMENT DEPARTURE (SIDs) RNAV (VOR/ DME) - RWY 07<br />
NOTE : Minimum climb gradient 6.8% (415 feet/NM) until passing 300 feet MSL, then<br />
3.3% (200 ft/NM. Building (T.E.93.1M) located at 059.5 Deg / 2270M from ARP.<br />
2.1 DOCKET 3 :: Maintain runway heading, at 5DME turn left track 002 Deg M to<br />
MM101 to intercept R-019 to ANURI. Then on track 034 Deg M to MEVAT. Thereafter,<br />
on track 058 Deg M to DOCKET to join A465 outbound. Cross MM101 at or below<br />
FL55.<br />

2.2 HYDERABAD 3 :: Maintain runway heading, at 5DME turn left track 320 Deg M to<br />
MM102 to intercept R-357 to NISIT. Then on track 342 Deg M to KAMAP. Thereafter,<br />
on track 3<strong>29</strong> Deg M to HYDERABAD (VOR/DME) to join W20 outbound. Cross<br />
MM102 at or below FL55 and MM103 at or below FL70.<br />
2.3 DORAM 3 :: Maintain runway heading, at 5DME turn left track 320 Deg M to<br />
MM102, then on track 288 Deg M to MM105 to intercept radial 322 to GUPAS.<br />
Thereafter, on track 314 Deg M to DORAM to join B466 outbound. Cross MM102 at or<br />
below FL55 and MM105 at or below FL70.<br />
2.4 OPAMO 3 :: Maintain runway heading, at 5DME turn left track 320 Deg M to<br />
MM102, then on track 251 Deg M to MM106 to intercept R-286 to XIVIL. Then on<br />
track 335 Deg M to IKEDA to intercept R-301 to OPAMO to join P574 outbound.<br />
Cross MM102 at or below FL55 and MM106 at or below FL70.<br />
2.5 XIVIL 3 :: Maintain runway heading, at 5DME turn left track 320 Deg M to MM102,<br />
then on track 251 Deg M to MM106 to intercept R-286 to XIVIL. Then on track 257<br />
Deg M to BANGALORE (VOR/DME) to join W117 outbound. Cross MM102 at or<br />
below FL55 and MM106 at or below FL70.<br />
2.6 CHARLI 3 :: Maintain runway heading, at 5DME turn left track 320 Deg M to MM102,<br />
then on track 251 Deg M to MM106. Then on track 209 Deg M (R-0<strong>29</strong> KKP) to<br />
KANCHEEPURAM (VOR/DME). Thereafter, intercept R-239 (KKP) to<br />
COIMBATORE (VOR/DME) to join W114 outbound. Cross MM102 at or below FL55<br />
and MM106 at or below FL70.<br />
2.7 i) TRICHY 3A :: Maintain runway heading, at 5DME turn left track 320 Deg M<br />
to MM102, then on track 251 Deg M to MM106. Then on track 209 Deg M<br />
(R-0<strong>29</strong> KKP) to KANCHEEPURAM (VOR/DME). Thereafter, intercept<br />
R-209 (KKP) to TRICHY (VOR/DME) to join W25 outbound. Cross MM102<br />
