En ROuTE TO THE ElECTRIC MObIlITy<br />
Electric Mobility is a major contribution to<br />
reducing global CO emissions. The acceptance<br />

of electric vehicles depends primarily on<br />
confi dence in the range of vehicles and the<br />
availability of a recharging infrastructure.<br />
For the delivery of electrical energy to both<br />
cars and bicycles, high safety standards are to<br />
meet as well as energy- and control-rel<strong>at</strong>ed<br />
requirements. Similarly, new and challenging<br />
tasks result from various billing models for the<br />
services of electric vehicles.<br />
Together with the standards for charging<br />
b<strong>at</strong>tery-powered vehicles (eg IEC 61851), the<br />
requirements for electric charging st<strong>at</strong>ions<br />
develop further. Modern charging st<strong>at</strong>ions<br />
are built in smart grids th<strong>at</strong> use the smart<br />
meter technology and are complex, networked<br />
control and transfer points. <strong>at</strong> the same time<br />
the involvement of customers via the internet<br />
and smart phones is becoming increasingly<br />
important.<br />
The ETS system 2010 supports the manufacturer<br />
of electric st<strong>at</strong>ions in all these areas. ETS<br />
2010 is a set of system components which takes<br />
over all the technical control and administr<strong>at</strong>ive<br />
functions of a charging st<strong>at</strong>ion both <strong>at</strong> home<br />
and in public garages and charging st<strong>at</strong>ions. Via<br />
the corresponding internet pl<strong>at</strong>form ETSweb<br />
the oper<strong>at</strong>ional d<strong>at</strong>a of the networked charging<br />
st<strong>at</strong>ions are aggreg<strong>at</strong>ed and presented to<br />

The starting point of the system ETS 2010 is<br />
the dispensing point unit ETS PIO. It provides<br />
standard functions for two industry-standard<br />
connectors in public areas and <strong>at</strong> home. The<br />
optionally integr<strong>at</strong>ed measurement of voltage,<br />
current, power and energy provides intelligent<br />
load management for all charging points of a<br />
charging st<strong>at</strong>ion.<br />
With the central unit ETS CORE, multiple<br />
charging points are connected to larger power<br />
st<strong>at</strong>ions. The ETS CORE load management<br />
provides the structure and measurement d<strong>at</strong>a<br />
as well as intervention options to a parent<br />
Smart Grid. ETS CORE also supports a variety<br />

In public garages a problem arises with the<br />
design of the charging infrastructure when<br />
multiple available charging points have<br />
unfavorable simultaneities, causing the electrical<br />
connection of the garage to either overload<br />
or perform inefficiently. With free choice of<br />
charging point, uneven distribution of one- or<br />
multiple-phase charges, and different charge<br />
st<strong>at</strong>es of vehicles, the simultaneity is to be<br />
r<strong>at</strong>ed <strong>at</strong> one. This drives up the connected load,<br />
and therefore the costs, while high electrical<br />
surplus remains unused. The optimiz<strong>at</strong>ion of<br />
service levels during a charge, while accounting<br />

maximum possible value and utilized to<br />

maximum. For the customer this means minimal<br />
charge time, or a maximum of charged energy in<br />

more comfort for past and future QTZ customers. QTZv5 is designed to oper<strong>at</strong>e up to 4 wash /<br />
dryer units. With QTZ CORE, even more QTZv5 can be managed. It allows controlled oper<strong>at</strong>ion of<br />
the laundry room via timetables, or payment via Quick web accounts and provides the st<strong>at</strong>us of the<br />
system in a central place.<br />

In addition to oper<strong>at</strong>ing over the<br />
Internet, reserv<strong>at</strong>ions can be carried<br />
out locally and barrier-free via the<br />
touchscreen. Identific<strong>at</strong>ion and payment is made<br />
in conjunction with a (Quick) RFId or debit card for<br />
authoriz<strong>at</strong>ion directly <strong>at</strong> the laundry room. payment can<br />
be made as usual with Quick locally or via a web shop<br />
with a credit card and, depending on the oper<strong>at</strong>or, as<br />
well as by monthly payment.<br />
In addition, access may be regul<strong>at</strong>ed in the laundry room<br />
with RFId access control, so th<strong>at</strong> only authorized users<br />
can access during booked periods.<br />
FunCTIOnS OF QTZweb+QTZ-CORE, RFId & QuICk<br />
Via smartphone, the customer gets a complete<br />
overview of his postings and the current<br />
washing process. The devices can be reserved<br />
by clicking a reserv<strong>at</strong>ion and the customer can also<br />
cancel it the same way <strong>at</strong> any time. So you can already<br />
plan the housework on the tramway.<br />
QTZweb - allows a direct communic<strong>at</strong>ion between the customer and the laundry facility management. The washings<br />
can bemanaged over the internet via pC or smartphone. St<strong>at</strong>us messages can be transferred to the customer and the<br />
management via e-mail or SMS. QTZweb is multi-tenant capable and a web service by the pdTS.<br />
QTZ-CORE – intelligent laundry management interface with touch screen, RFId and smart card reader provides<br />
booking and planning of washes on site. also, the assignment of Quick cards and names to QTZweb accounts can be<br />
done too. The local payment via Quick will be continued in the QTZv5 devices.<br />
The (RFId-) Quick Card also allows access control to the laundry rooms.<br />
