04 Aktive, Vital and Adventurous MONDAY INFO-LIVE - GUEST INFORMATION A national park ranger happily gives hiking tips as well as tour recommendations and informs you about the nature adventure programmes in the Hohe Tauern National Holiday Region. Begins: 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at Krimml tourism office Timeframe: 8th July - 2nd September 2013 GC AKTIVELY HIKING - PANORAMA TOUR WITH VISIT TO AN ALPINE FARMSTEAD - From the Meeting Place, we shall hike to the Krimmler Ache, pass by the ‘Pastor Kneipp’ Natural Health Treatment Place and the new ‘WaterWunderWelten’ Spa (Water-Wonderworld) to the beginning of the ‘Anton Wallner Sculptural’ Hiking Trail. A variety of wooden sculptured pieces of Anton Wallner are set up along the way to celebrate the theme ‘Peace and Freedom’. We pass his birthplace on the way and end up at Lindlbauer, which has been owned by the Klammer Family since 1886. Apart from a visit to an old alpine farmstead house dating back to 1577, the Farmer’s Wife will invite us to try her real natural yoghurt. On the way back, we shall pass over the ‘Heimkehrerkreuz’ built in 1964- along the Panorama Way – back to the Krimml Tourism Office. GC AKTIVELY HIKING - VIEW OVER THE WILDLIFE PARKTO THE SULZBACH WATERFALL - Today, we shall be commencing our hiking tour at the Tourism Office in the woods and pass by the Plenkenhof and the Abelhof alpine farmsteads where we can observe fallow deer and stags in their game reserves. Afterwards, we shall descend into the Sulzbachtal Valley to the Schütthof alpine farmstead and then on to the Untersulzbachfall Waterfalls. On the way back, we shall pass through alpine meadows and woodland along the Salzach Torrent, to the Meeting Place. GC ACTIVELY HIKING - EMERALD HIKE - You will be accompanied by a national park ranger who will tell you about emeralds and the Hohe Tauern National Park. Hiking tips naturally included. MONDAY PURE ADVENTURE - VIA FERRATA &1 MEGA FLYING FOX In-house via ferrata (fixed rope route), learn or even improve climbing from a trained personnel. The necessary safety equipment is made available. Registration: by Sunday - Alpinschule Hohe Tauern Guide / Tel. 0664/1940657 Guide duration: approx. 2-3 hours Meeting place: 9:30 a.m. Dürnbachsperre / Neukirchen Costs: € 39.00 per person Minimum number of participants: 4 people Timeframe: 24th June – 9th September 2013 PURE ADVENTURE - MEG FLYING FOX Pure adrenaline by jumping over the Dürnbachschlucht (gorge) (2 jumps) Registration: by Sunday - Alpinschule Hohe Tauern Guide / Tel. 0664/1940657 Duration: approx. 2 hours Meeting place: 1:00 p.m. Dürnbachsperre Costs: € 15.00 per person - Minimum number of participants: 5 people FOX PARK: Not enough? There are another couple of adrenaline-chances in Fox Park! Surcharge: € 20.00 per person / approx.15 jumps Timeframe: 24th June - 9th September 2013 INFO LIVE - MINERAL GROTTO IN VORDERKRIMML The former fluorite mine was improved and turned into a tourist mine and made accessible for visitors in recent years. Because of its unique composition the Vorderkrimmler-fluorite ranks as one of the most beautiful occurrences in Europe. The greatest finding can be admired in an exhibition. Meeting place: Right at the mineral grotto between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Costs: Adults with guest card € 5.00 (otherwise € 7.00), children € 3.00 Guide duration: approx. 20 minutes – warm clothing required TIP: There is a limekiln located at the foot of the mine, which can be visited at any time.
