General Description:<br />
Polyv<strong>in</strong>yl Chloride (PVC) is a f<strong>in</strong>e, white, odourless powder, soluble <strong>in</strong> ketones and tetrahydrofuran.<br />
The product is obta<strong>in</strong>ed through the polymerization of v<strong>in</strong>yl chloride suspension.<br />
PVC's major benefit is its compatibility with many different k<strong>in</strong>ds of additives, mak<strong>in</strong>g it a highly versatile<br />
polymer. Its compatibility with additives allows for the possible addition of flame retardants although PVC is<br />
<strong>in</strong>tr<strong>in</strong>sically fire retardant because of the presence of chlor<strong>in</strong>e <strong>in</strong> the polymer matrix.<br />
Rigid PVC, also known as PVC-U (The U stands for "unplasticised") is used extensively <strong>in</strong> build<strong>in</strong>g applications<br />
such as w<strong>in</strong>dow and door profiles, cellular pannels, etc.<br />
PVC has excellent electrical <strong>in</strong>sulation properties, mak<strong>in</strong>g it ideal for cabl<strong>in</strong>g applications. Its good impact<br />
strength and weatherproof attributes make it ideal for construction products.<br />
PVC Suspension for rigid process<strong>in</strong>g is generally considered as a thermoplastic material with low process<strong>in</strong>g<br />
costs and long term operat<strong>in</strong>g characteristics, rigidity, chemical resistance and high impact resistance.<br />
OLTVIL 158 360 is a PVC grade used for rigid applications.<br />
OLTVIL 158 360 is recommended for formulation of v<strong>in</strong>yl compounds used especially for extrusion process<strong>in</strong>g,<br />
mold<strong>in</strong>g by blow<strong>in</strong>g, calendar<strong>in</strong>g process<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

OLTVIL 158 360 may cause eye irritation. Direct eye contact causes allergic dermatitis and conjunctivitis.<br />
