- About The Artist -<br />
<strong>Barnali</strong> <strong>Das</strong> <strong>professionally</strong> a <strong>painter</strong>, <strong>sculptor</strong> <strong>and</strong> a <strong>graphics</strong> designer also runs<br />
her very own Art <strong>and</strong> Cultural Institution called “Silpidal” as a passion. She<br />
graduated from the Government Collage of Fine Arts in the year 1989 along with<br />
a degree in accounts from the “Goenka Collage”. Apart from Lithography on<br />
stone training she also works on Buddhist Paintings under the guidance of<br />
Kulavadhuta Satpuran<strong>and</strong>a from the year 1999 onwards. She has conducted<br />
numerous solo exhibitions as well as many group exhibitions. She has taken part<br />
in exhibitions such as at “International Art <strong>and</strong> Sculpture Exhibition” by Spark.<br />
She has also received the “Badhan <strong>Das</strong> Award” from the Government Collage of<br />
Art <strong>and</strong> Craft.

an Indian Buddhist master proficient in traditional paintings <strong>and</strong> sculptures <strong>and</strong> created the”<br />
Tantric Yantras <strong>and</strong> M<strong>and</strong>alas”.<br />

through meditative techniques. This is a way to balance the conscious <strong>and</strong> sub-conscious<br />
<strong>and</strong> develop the realization of aesthetics in between the two. I developed this idea while<br />
studying abstraction of Buddhist paintings under my master at Gangtok.<br />
