Berry Center this summer as part of its
tour de Champions series. the show
is presented by the exsiGhtment oF
souNd, which features the top eight
corps from last year that perform preshow
and intermission entertainment,
fan interaction and an en-masse finale.
each group consists of up to 150
brass musicians, percussionists and
dancers performing formations and
choreography to classical, jazz, rock
and pop musical arrangements. during
their summer touring season, these topranked
groups travel more than 10,000
miles around the country.
For more than 30 years, dCi has
operated as a non-profit organization
for youth, ages 14-22. each year, the
dCi tour allows members to participate
in hundreds of events in 17 cities
throughout the country and compete in
35 worldwide championships.
Nearly three-quarters of the corps are
made up of college students, and about
8,000 individuals audition annually. dCi
celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
