The 2011-2012 Men’s Basketball
team hopes to travel down the
Road to Repeat
The 2010-2011 College of Southern men’s basketball team accomplished something only two teams before
them were able to do at CSI - win a NJCAA National Championship. Now with no returning starters but still a
handful of players who were part of the incredible ride, the 2011-2012 will begin it’s journey down the “Road to
Repeat.”
Maybe most important is that the coaching staff from last season all returns to lead this year’s team.
“Perhaps the best recruits we were able to re-sign for this upcoming season were our outstanding assistant
coaches - Josh Dees, Ryan Devlin and Colby Blaine,” said Golden Eagle head coach Steve Gosar. “Each of
these guys had opportunities this summer to leave CSI, but each chose to stay and take on the challenge of trying
to help us repeat as national champions. I’m very thankful for their loyalty and hard work.”
On the court, Gosar will look to Fabyon Harris (guard), Kevin Attila (guard), Gerson Santo (power forward)
and Paul Bunch (center), who all played minutes for the Golden Eagles last season. In addition to those four
players, red-shirts Jon Pulsifer (guard), Dennis Mikelonis (forward) and Luke Cothron (forward) return, having
been a part of the magical season.
Pulsifer and Cothron are freshmen eligibility-wise. Mikelonis played for the Golden Eagles in 2009-2010
before sitting out last season with a knee injury.
