SHOWS AND EVENTS
Chilean National
The class/age divisions at this competition are different from
the European, Brazilian and American system. To make it
easier to understand I’ll add the age for each corresponding
category.
The Champion Stallion (over 48 months) was dominated by
the traditional breeding from Haras Panquehue of the Bulnes
family owner of the pre x HP; they own the Champion, the
Reserve Champion and the 3rd place.
The Grand Champion Stallion, ZT Kishak, who had won the
same title in 2009, is a re ned grey and quite alike his father
El Shaklan. His mother ZT Kismart, by Imperial Naphar, as
her son, comes from the Argentinean breeding program of the
German Count Federico Zichy-Thyssen. ZT Kishak has also
proved his high quality as a sire. One of his daughters, Nunca
Vista Estefanía, is mother of the 3rd place Jr. Colt (24 to 48
months), Puquelahue Don Omar from the breeding program of
Haras Puquelahue of Daniel Benavente.
The Reserve Champion Stallion, HP Emir is connected by his
bloodline to Brazil. He is the son of ST Synbad, Reserve Brazilian
National Champion, and Chilean Champion, who is the
son of Halux by the Russian Menes. His mother is Hafati Car-
mel by RSD Dark Victory. HP Emir is already a known sire in
Chile; at this National he is the father of the Grand Champion
Filly Mayor (12 to24 months), Alborada Fuad who also won
Best Classical Head. She is the daughter of Alborada Karmel
by Al Ikisir from Haras Shangrila of Pedro González. The Reserve
Champion Stallion HP Emir is also the father of the 3rd place Jr Filly HP Angélica, daughter of Promisses Kept
by Padrons Psyche, and was shown by Haras Aguas Claras and
Haras Panquehue.
The 3rd place Stallion HP Majeed, is also the son of ST Synbad
out of Om EL Katana by Sanadik El Shaklan, and belongs to a
association between Bulnes family and Haras Aguas Claras, of
Herman Chadwick, and leaves his mark at this National with
the Reserve Champion Filly Mayor HP Shaella daughter of
HP Natalia by Don El Chall from the breeding program of the
Bulnes family.
But the most prominent sire at this show was LC Farid. He was
already a success at previous Nationals but this time, with 13
Champions, Reserves and 3rd places, he surpassed all expectations
and is calling the attention of South Americans breeders,
specially the ones that prefer Bey Shah’s bloodline.
