The mission of the Virginia Beach<br />
Parks and Recreation Foundation is<br />
to support the Department of Parks<br />
and Recreation by raising funds,<br />
accepting gifts, and providing<br />
other resources to enhance existing<br />
programs, services, facilities,<br />
and technology.<br />
The Foundation has provided<br />
funding for projects and programs<br />
such as the Environmental Education<br />
Program, fitness equipment, ADA-<br />
approved wheelchair ramp for the<br />
Princess Anne Community Recreation<br />
Center pool, and the Early Childhood<br />
Development Program.<br />
