Paul Manship (American 1885-1966)
Art Deco Bronze Water Fountain
Circa 1914
The wall mount cylindrical standard with an engraved wave border, surmounted by a
shallow bowl enclosing an inverted bell form with an aperture for dispensing water, the
rounded base with a rais de coeur band and paw feet, with the cylindrical spigot cast
perpendicular with leafy antheniom volutes.
Height 17 1/4 inches (44 cm); length 13 inches (33 cm)
Provenance: AT&T Building in New York at 198 Broadway.
Note: Paul Manship was a young sculpture who worked on the AT&T building from 1914-1916. He
designed not only this fountain, but also numerous architectural elements including large medallions
installed in the floors near the entry, door pulls, and a plaque of Alexander Graham Bell.

Pair of Graduated Louis Vuitton Cases
Circa 1920
Each graduated stencil printed hard rectangular case accented in brown leather trim
with repeating LV, the classic Louis Vuitton “LV” insignia monogram to lock mechanism,
the interior with ivory ground and fitted clothing strips, each lock mechanism marked with
serial number “112667”, handpainted initials “L.S.R.” , one with a partial Bahama hotel label.
