As Director of Athletic Performance, Je Fish, 

enters his third season with the team directing all 

aspects of Falcons physical development, injury 

prevention, rehabilitation and nutrition, among 

other responsibilities. In two seasons thus far, 

the Falcons have benefi ted from Fish’s 20 years 

of experience in the strength & conditioning and 

athletic performance realms. 

Prior to joining the Falcons, Fish spent the previous 

four seasons (2004-07) as the head Strength and 

Conditioning Coach of the Oakland Raiders. Before 

joining the Silver & Black, Fish was the Director of 

Strength and Conditioning at the University of 

Missouri (2001-03) where he oversaw a program 

that worked with nearly 500 student-athletes 

from 20 Missouri sports teams. 

Fish’s second stint in the NFL came with the 

Kansas City Chiefs as a strength and conditioning 

intern in 1998. After one season, he was promoted 

to Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach 

where he served from 1999-2000. He earned his 

start in the league with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 

as a strength and conditioning intern in 1997. 

Fish spent eight seasons in the college ranks with 

four di erent schools. The certifi ed strength 

and conditioning specialist started his coaching 

journey with Western Michigan University as

coach in 1989. He served as an Assistant Strength 

Coach at Clemson University from 1991-93 and 

then moved on to Kent State as the head Strength 

and Conditioning Coach from 1993-95. Fish’s last 

stop at the collegiate ranks came at the University 

of Tulsa where he served as the top Strength and 

Conditioning coach from 1995-97. 

The Ithaca, N.Y. native competed as a wide receiver 

at Western Carolina. Fish and his wife, Rachel, 

have two daughters, Whitney and Sofi e.

Bill Hughan embarks on his third season with 

the Atlanta Falcons as Assistant Strength and 

Conditioning Coach. Hughan works closely with 

Director of Athletic Performance, Je Fish, to 

ensure the strength and conditioning e orts for 

the team are met throughout the year. 

From 2004-07, Hughan served as the Assistant 

Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Oakland 

Raiders under Fish. Hughan also worked with Fish 

at the University of Missouri from 2001-03 where 

he assisted in guiding over 500 Missouri student 

athletes. 

Hughan began his coaching career at Yale 

University as an assistant from 1997-98. He 

then served as a graduate assistant at Columbia 

University for two years (1999-2000) and inbetween 

the season during the summer, worked 

with the Omaha Royals, the AAA a liate of the 

Kansas City Royals.

A native of Oxford, Conn., Hughan attended 

Springfi eld College in Massachusetts where he 

played hockey and earned an undergraduate 

degree in Exercise Science. He then went on to 

earn a graduate degree in Applied Physiology at 

Columbia University.

Jonas Beauchemin enters his second season with 

the Atlanta Falcons working primarily with Director 

of Athletic Performance, Je Fish, and Assistant 

Strength and Conditioning Coach Bill Hughan. 

Beauchemin joined the team after spending the 

previous three years with Mike Boyle Strength and 

Conditioning in Boston, MA. 

Beauchemin specialized in professional hockey 

and NFL combine training during his tenure at 

Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning. He worked 

individually with several di erent athletes in a 

variety of sports. Beauchemin is also experienced 

in rehab and reconditioning programs. Beauchemin 

is a Certifi ed Strength and Conditioning Specialist 

with the National Strength and Conditioning 

Association.

JONAS BEAUCHEMIN

BEAUCHEMIN’S COACHING BACKGROUND 

2009-10 Strength & Cond. Asst. // Falcons 

A native of Burlington, VT, Beauchemin is a 

graduate of Keene State (New Hampshire) College, 

where he earned his degree in Health Promotion 

and Fitness. While attending Keene State, 

Beauchemin was appointed to the position of 

Senior Fitness Specialist at the college recreation 

center. He also worked as a student Assistant 

Strength and Conditioning Coach within the 

Keene State strength and conditioning program. 

Beauchemin designed and implemented the 

programs for various teams.

MARTY LAUZON 

HEAD ATHLETIC TRAINER 

Marty Lauzon enters his fi rst season as the 

Falcons Head Athletic Trainer and brings 17 

years of experience in athletic training to the 

team. Lauzon will be responsible for handling all 

aspects of the club’s athletic training department. 

In 2009, he spent a year as the Director of Sports 

Rehabilitation for NovaCare-NE Ohio. Lauzon 

spent 10 seasons with the Cleveland Browns, 

serving from 2005-08 as the team’s Head Athletic 

Trainer. Lauzon is a certifi ed athletic trainer and is 

a graduate of the University of Ottowa Physical 

Therapy School. He also holds the distinction 

of being a certifi ed specialist in sports physical 

therapy through the American Physical Therapy 

Association. In 1992, Lauzon began his career as 

an intern with the Montreal Machine of the WLAF. 

before moving on to Ottawa of the CFL. 

JAMES WILLIAMS 

ASSISTANT ATHLETIC TRAINER 

James Williams begins his fi rst season as an 

Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Falcons. 

Williams will provide support for Head Athletic 

Trainer Marty Lauzon and will be responsible for 

the daily care of players, as well as assisting with 

treatment and rehabilitation. Williams holds 10 

years of experience in the athletic training fi eld 

and was most recently with the Cleveland Browns 

as an assistant from 2006-09. Prior to joining the 

Browns, Williams oversaw daily athletic training 

operations as the head football Athletic Trainer at 

Indiana State from 2005-06. He also spent time 

in the collegiate ranks as an Assistant Football 

Trainer (2004-05) and head Basketball Trainer 

(2002-04) for Auburn University. A native of 

Morganton, Georgia, Williams graduated from 

Georgia and Auburn with various degrees. 

DANNY LONG 

ASSISTANT ATHLETIC TRAINER 

Danny Long embarks on his fi rst year as an 

Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Falcons. Long 

will provide support for Head Athletic Trainer 

Marty Lauzon and will assist in the daily care of 

players, treatment and rehabilitation. Long was 

a member of the Cleveland Browns sta from 

2005-09. Long started as a summer intern in 

’05 before being hired full-time as an assistant. 

Along with the daily care for players, he assisted in 

rehabilitation, treatment, and the hiring of training 

camp interns. Before joining the Browns sta , 

Long attended the Masters program at Auburn 

University (2003-05) and served as a graduate 

assistant. From 2001-02, Long was summer intern 

for the Falcons training sta before making his fi rst 

stop in Cleveland. He attended the University of 

South Carolina as an undergraduate and earned 

his degree in Science Physical Education with a 

minor in Athletic Training.

LES SNEAD 

DIRECTOR OF PLAYER PERSONNEL 

Les Snead begins his 12th season with the Falcons 

personnel department and the second under 

his title of Director of Player Personnel. Snead 

oversees both the college and pro scouting 

e orts and works closely with Falcons General 

Manager Thomas Dimitro . He also plays a dayto-day 

role in the analysis and evaluation of the 

Falcons current roster and provides salary value 

analysis of all player acquisitions, while aiding in 

the research on how to acquire future free agents. 

Snead came to Atlanta from Jacksonville, where 

he worked in the pro scouting department for 

the Jaguars from 1995-97. In his career, he has 

participated in one Super Bowl appearance (with 

the Falcons) and three Conference Championship 

Games. 

LIONEL VITAL 

ASST. DIRECTOR OF PLAYER PERSONNEL 

As a 20 year veteran in scouting and player 

personnel, the Falcons will continue to lean on the 

experience of Lionel Vital in 2010. Vital heads into 

his third season as the club’s Assistant Director of 

Player Personnel. Vital continues to work closely 

with General Manager Thomas Dimitro on 

most college scouting matters as he is an integral 

part of the personnel decision making team. His 

responsbilities also entail evaluating the top 150 

college players in a national scouting capacity. He 

will also grade the top unrestricted NFL free agents 

at all positions and work on comparatives, as well 

as special projects with Dimitro . 

From 2005-07, Vital served in his second stint with 

the Ravens and covered schools across the country 

as a National Scout while being responsible for 

reporting on defensive linemen. During his time in 

Baltimore, he was honored with the inaugural Fritz 

Pollard Alliance Scouting Award, which is given to

Les played tight end for Auburn from 1992-93 and 

was part of the Tigers’ perfect 11-0 team in 1993. 

He also earned Southeast Region Academic All- 

American honors during his college career. This 

39-year-old native of Eufaula, Ala., was a graduate 

assistant at Auburn after his playing days were 

over. Snead also was an administrative assistant 

of football operations at his alma mater in 1995. 

He holds a bachelors of science degree in 

Psychology and planned to attend medical school 

until he was o ered a graduate assistant coaching 

position at his alma mater. While working as 

a graduate assistant he received a Master’s of 

Education degree. He and his wife, Elizabeth, 

reside with their son, Logan, and daughter, 

Cannon, in Braselton, Georgia.

Vital served as the Assistant Director of College 

Scouting with the New England Patriots from 2001- 

04 after maintaining duties as a National College 

Scout in 2000. It was during his tenure with New 

England that he worked directly with Vice President 

of Player Personnel Scott Pioli and Falcons General 

Manager Thomas Dimitro . 

Prior to his stint in New England, Vital spent three 

seasons as a Talent Scout with the New York Jets, 

covering the Southeast region from 1997-99. He 

entered the scouting ranks with the Cleveland 

Browns in 1991 and spent fi ve seasons as a Talent 

Scout, after being hired by Head Coach Bill 

Belichick. Vital followed Belichick and the Browns 

when the team moved to Baltimore for its inaugural 

season in 1996, working as a College Scout. For two 

seasons (1990-91), Vital was the Director of Player 

Personnel for the Montreal Machine in the World 

League of American Football. 

A native of Loreauville, Louisiana, Vital graduated 

from Nicholls State and was selected by the 

Washington Redskins as a running back in the 

seventh round of the 1985 NFL Draft.

RAN CARTHON 

PRO SCOUT 

Ran Carthon enters his third season with the 

Falcons as a Pro Scout. He is responsible for 

providing the coaching sta with advance 

scouting reports for upcoming opponents, 

evaluating players in each year’s free agency 

market and maintaining the daily waiver wire. 

Carthon joined the scouting ranks following 

a three-year playing career in the NFL after 

breaking into the league as an undrafted rookie 

with the Indianapolis Colts. He was a standout 

running back at the University of Florida (1999- 

2003) where he competed in fi ve bowl games 

over his collegiate career and was part of the 

Gators 2000 SEC Championship team. Carthon’s 

father, Maurice, currently serves as the Assistant 

Head Coach for the Kansas City Chiefs. 

DAVID CALDWELL 

DIRECTOR OF COLLEGE SCOUTING 

David Caldwell embarks on his third season with 

the Falcons as the Director of College Scouting. He 

has served in the NFL for 14 years, 10 of which came 

with the Indianapolis Colts. Caldwell oversees 

Atlanta’s college area and regional scouts. He 

also assimilates the information he receives and 

presents it to General Manager Thomas Dimitro 

with a goal to make the NFL Draft as e ective as 

possible. Caldwell is also responsible for scouting 

the top talent in the country. 

From 2006-07, Caldwell was the Western 

Regional Scout with Indianapolis covering major 

college football conferences, including the Pac- 10, 

Big 10 and Big 12. Coming from a successful Colts 

franchise that claimed a victory in Super Bowl 

DEJUAN POLK 

PRO SCOUT 

DeJuan Polk begins his fi fth season with the 

Falcons organization and third as a Pro Scout. 

He is responsible for scouting all professional 

leagues, including 15 NFL teams and advance 

scouting. Polk also served as a College Scout for 

the Falcons from 2007-08, covering the Midwest 

Region and conferences such as the Big Ten and 

MAC. Polk started his tenure with the organization 

in 2006 as a Pro Personnel Assistant and helped 

the personnel department coordinating free agent 

workouts, maintaining the “short-list” and advance 

scouting of future opponents. In 2005, Polk served 

as the Defensive Tackles Coach at South Carolina 

State. He was a four-year letterman at defensive 

tackle for Clemson University during his collegiate 

campaign from 1999-2003. 

XLI against the Chicago Bears, Caldwell was part 

of a scouting team that accounted for multiple 

starters and Pro Bowl players. In 1998, he got his 

start with Indianapolis, serving as an Area Scout 

and remained in that role for the following seven 

seasons. Caldwell covered the Midwest and West 

Coast regions. In 1996, Caldwell broke into the NFL 

with the Carolina Panthers as a Scouting Assistant 

where he spent two seasons. He served as a liaison 

between the college scouting director and multiple 

area scouts while focusing on draft preparations. 

Caldwell is a graduate of John Carroll University, 

earning a Bachelors degree in Finance/Business 

Administration. He was a two-year letterman as 

an outside linebacker helping the Blue Streaks to 

an Ohio Athletic Conference title in 1994. A native 

of Bu alo, New York, Caldwell and his wife, Joelle, 

have one son, David Michael II.

MARVIN ALLEN 

EASTERN REGIONAL SCOUT 

Marvin Allen begins his second season with the 

Falcons as the Eastern Regional Scout. A native of 

Wichita Falls, Texas, Allen spent 16 seasons with 

the New England Patriots, including his last 12 in 

the player personnel department as an Area Scout. 

He was responsible for the collection of data on 

all prospects in his assigned region. Allen is a 

graduate of Tulane University and was selected by 

the Patriots in the 11th round (294th overall) of the 

1988 NFL Draft. In four seasons with New England, 

he rushed for 378 yards and two touchdowns on 

94 carries (4.0 avg.). 

BOB HARRISON 

AREA SCOUT 

Bob Harrison enters his 15th season as a Falcons 

scout, but also served in a previous coaching role in 

Atlanta. Harrison was the Falcons Receivers Coach 

from 1983-86 while coaching two years with the 

Pittsburgh Steelers (1992-93) and four years with 

the University of Georgia (1988-91). He was the 

Receivers Coach at Boston College from 1994-96 

and also had coaching stopovers at North Carolina 

State for two years and Tennessee for seven years. 

As a player, Harrison was an All-MAC receiver at 

Kent State. His coaching experience spanned 33 

years in college, the NFL and at the high school 

level. Harrison concentrates on the Atlantic Coast 

area of the country in his scouting duties. He and 

his wife, Faye, reside in nearby Athens, Georgia. 


MARK OLSON 

WESTERN REGIONAL SCOUT 

Mark Olson embarks on his 13th year with the 

Falcons player personnel department in 2010 and 

his second year as Western Regional Scout after 

serving fi ve years scouting the West for the club. 

Prior to joining the college scouting department, 

he served three years as a Pro Scout with the team 

where he was responsible for advance scouting, as 

well as evaluating players and assisting the club in 

its preparation for free agent acquisitions. Olson 

originally joined the Falcons in 1998 as a Scouting 

Assistant. His past experience has included stints 

with the Washington Redskins, Minnesota Vikings, 

and Montreal of the CFL. Olson graduated from the 

University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a degree in 

Journalism. He earned his Masters degree in Sports 

Management from the University of Minnesota in 

1997. Olson currently resides in Park City, Utah. 

SHEPLEY HEARD 

AREA SCOUT 

Shepley Heard enters his sixth season with the 

Falcons player personnel department and his third 

year as an Area Scout, responsible for scouting 

in the Southwest part of the country (Texas, 

Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri 

and parts of Louisiana). Prior to his move West, 

Shepley served as a Scouting Assistant in the 

pro personnel department in 2005 before being 

promoted to a Pro Scout in the spring of 2006. As 

a Pro Scout, his duties included advance scouting 

future opponents, watching and grading free agent 

players as well as scouting the AFL and CFL. Heard 

played safety and special teams at the University 

of Central Oklahoma from 1997 to 2001. He 

currently resides in Tulsa, Oklahoma. 




BOB KRONENBERG 

AREA SCOUT 

Bob Kronenberg begins his second season with the 

Falcons as an Area Scout with the responsibility 

of evaluating college prospects in a regional and 

national capacity. Prior to his arrival with the 

Falcons, Kronenberg spent seven seasons in 

the AFL primarily with the Georgia Force as an 

assistant coach and Defensive Coordinator (2003- 

08). He also served as an assistant coach with 

Nashville in 2001. Kronenberg began his collegiate 

career at St. Cloud State (MN) where he was an All- 

America selection in football while participating in 

track. He fi nished his studies at Middle Tennessee 

State University prior to being signed as a rookie 

free agent by Tampa Bay in 1993. Kronenberg’s 

playing career also includes four seasons in NFL 

Europa, three years in the CFL and a training camp 

appearance with the Washington Redskins in 1998. 

ROBINSON PAYNE 

AREA SCOUT 

Robinson Payne begins his third season with 

the Falcons and second as a College Scout, 

responsible for covering the Northeast area. In 

2008, he served as a Pro Scout for the Falcons 

and was in charge of scouting for 15 teams, the 

AFL and CFL. Payne’s past experience includes 

a two-year stint with the Ottawa Rough Riders 

of the CFL (1996-97) as the Running Backs and 

Special Teams Coach. From 1993-94, he was with 

the Sacramento Gold Miners as the Linebackers 

Coach when the CFL competed in the United 

States. From 1990-91, Payne was the graduate 

assistant/running backs coach at the University of 

Texas. A graduate of Abilene Christian University 

in Abilene, Texas, Payne played free safety for four 

years (1985-89) for the Wildcats. 

TAYLOR MORTON 

AREA SCOUT 

Taylor Morton embarks on his 11th season with 

the Falcons player personnel department and will 

be responsible for scouting the Southeast for the 

club. Prior to becoming a College Scout, Morton 

served in pro personnel as an Advance Scout for 

Falcons opponents, as well as evaluating future 

free agent prospects for the team and scouting 

other professional leagues, including the NFL, 

NFL Europa and the CFL. Taylor joined the Falcons 

after coaching eight years in the college ranks. His 

stints included Auburn University, Hinds CC and 

Pearl River CC. He began his coaching career at 

Southern Miss after a career ending knee injury. 

Morton earned both a Masters and a B.S. degree 

in Coaching/Sports Administration. He is a native 

of the Destin, Florida area where he attended 

Niceville High School and was a member of the 

1988 4A state championship football team. The 

Morton family resides in Dacula, Georgia. 

STEVE SABO 

AREA SCOUT 

Steve Sabo joins the Falcons for his fi rst season in 

2010 and is responsible for scouting the Midwest 

area for the team. Sabo comes to Atlanta following 

12 seasons with the Cleveland Browns in a variety of 

roles, including the teams Pro Personnel Coordinator 

(1998-2006), Director of Pro Personnel (2007-08) 

and Senior Director of Pro Personnel (2009). In 

Cleveland, Sabo was responsible for scouting NFL 

teams while assisting with advance scouting of 

upcoming opponents. Prior to his tenure with the 

Browns, Sabo served as a Pro Scout with the New 

Orleans Saints from 1996-98. A native of Willingboro, 

New Jersey, Sabo is married to the former, Ursula 

Anderson, and the two are proud parents of their 

daughter, Anderson.

ANTHONY ROBINSON 

SCOUTING ASSISTANT 

Anthony Robinson begins his third season with the 

Falcons as a Scouting Assistant. His duties include 

day-to-day operations of the scouting department, 

draft board preparations, evaluations of college/ 

pro players, “point of attack” tape and coordinating 

college/pro workouts and visits. Prior to arriving 

in Atlanta, he worked with BLESTO Scouting as 

a scouting assistant intern (2007-2008), served 

as an undergraduate assistant coach o ense with 

Florida State University (2005-2007) and the 

Baltimore Ravens player personnel department 

as an intern during training camp in 2006. He 

competed as a running back at Morgan State 

University before later transferring to FSU where he 

earned his bachelors degree in Sport Management 

in 2007. 

BRIAN BOIGNER 

EQUIPMENT MANAGER 

The 2010 campaign marks the 14th season for Brian 

Boigner as Atlanta’s Equipment Manager. He is 

responsible for properly outfi tting players with the 

safest and most advanced protective equipment 

and footwear, as well as ordering and organizing the 

team’s inventory of apparel and equipment. Boigner 

also serves as the team’s liaison with the NFL’s sole 

uniform and apparel provider, Reebok. He also 

sat on both the NFL helmet safety group and foot 

and ankle committee this past o season. Prior to 

joining the Falcons, Boigner spent fi ve years as the 

Assistant Equipment Manager for the New York 

Giants. He also served as the Assistant Equipment 

Manager for the New York/New Jersey Knights of 

the World League (1991-92). He has a son, Bryce, 

(12) and a daughter, Sarah (9). Boigner and his wife, 

Tema, reside in the city of Atlanta. 

MIKE CREWS 

VIDEO DIRECTOR 

Mike Crews enters his 10th season as the team’s 

Video Director and 13th year overall with the Falcons. 

Crews joined the team after working at Georgia 

Tech. He puts into motion Atlanta’s weekly game 

plan by fi lming each game & practice and editing it 

for players and coaches to review. Crews also breaks 

down the opponents’ weekly game fi lm for the team 

to analyze and is responsible for overseeing both the 

college and pro digital video systems. He also does 

game analysis that includes creating a database as 

well as the reports for the coaching sta . A native of 

Decatur, Ga., he received his Management degree 

with a minor in Marketing from Georgia Tech in 1996. 

He and his wife, Jennifer, and their son, Bailey, as well 

as daughters, Kelsey and Caitlyn, live in Braselton, 

Georgia.

JIMMY HAY 

ASSISTANT EQUIPMENT MANAGER 

Jimmy Hay has been a fi xture around the Falcons 

locker room since he served as a ball boy when 

he was just 12 years old. Hay’s experience in the 

equipment room started in 1990 as he helped out 

after school each day. He served as an intern with 

the department in 1995 and was hired full-time 

in 1997. During the spring of 1996 and 1997, he 

worked in NFL Europa as an Assistant Equipment 

Manager with the Frankfurt Galaxy and as the 

Equipment Manager of the Amsterdam Admirals. 

A Georgia native, Hay was an all-county selection 

as a third baseman for the North Gwinnett High 

School baseball team. He and his wife, Heidi, reside 

in Sugar Hill, Georgia with sons, Mike and Jake. 

KENNY OSUWAH 


Kenny Osuwah enters his fi rst season with the 

Falcons as an Assistant Equipment Manager. Some 

of Osuwah’s responsibilities include the upkeep of 

Atlanta’s uniforms and helmets, maintaining the

practice drills. Osuwah holds three previous years 

of experience in the NFL, including training camp 

internships with the Falcons (2009), San Francisco 

49ers (2007) and the Super Bowl XLI Champion 

Indianapolis Colts (2006). He is a graduate of Fort 

Hays State University where he graduated with a 

B.S. in Accounting and Information Systems and a 

B.S. in Economics and Finance. Osuwah was born in 

Paris, France and was raised in Nigeria. 

JIMMY LUCK 


Jimmy Luck enters his seventh season with the 

Falcons as an Assistant Equipment Manager. Prior 

to joining the Falcons and Georgia Force of the 

AFL, Luck served as an Equipment Manager in the 

college ranks for The Citadel. He began his career 

in professional football in 2002 when he served as 

the Equipment Manager for the af2’s Charleston 

Swamp Foxes. Luck’s previous experience includes 

working as Coordinator of Baseball Operations for 

the University of Miami (Fla.) from 1996 to 1998 

and as a sales rep. for Rawlings Sporting Goods, 

covering Tennessee from 1998 to 2000. Luck is a 

1995 graduate of Georgia Tech, where he earned his 

degree in Management. 

PHILLIP TIEMANN 

VIDEO ASSISTANT 

Phillip Tiemann begins his sixth season in the 

Falcons video department as an assistant. 

Tiemann is responsible for recording practices 

and games and then distributing the tapes to 

the coaching sta and front o ce personnel for 

review. His experience includes stints as an intern 

with the Falcons in 2005 and with the University of 

Arkansas as a student assistant in 2004. Tiemann 

earned his degree in Broadcast Journalism from 

the University of Arkansas. He lives in Buford, 

Georgia.

VIDEO ASSISTANT 

Daniel Wayne enters his third season with the 

Falcons as a Video Assistant. His duties include 

copying game footage, taping practice, working 

on the team’s new editing software system and 

delivering necessary footage to coaches and 

players. Prior to joining the Falcons, Wayne served 

as a video intern with the Minnesota Vikings in 2007 

maintaining the same responsibilities. He graduated 

from the University of Wisconsin and was a student 

assistant in the video department for the Badgers 

from 2002-06, working with several sports, 

including football. A native of Decatur, Illinois, 

Wayne graduated from St. Teresa High School 

where he got his start in video working as the head 

Video Coordinator for the boy’s varsity basketball 

team. He also played baseball during his prep years. 

ANDREW WEIDINGER 

ADMIN. ASST. TO HEAD COACH/OFFENSE 

Andrew Weidinger is in his third season as 

Administrative Assistant to the Head Coach/ 

O ense, providing administrative help to Falcons 

Head Coach Mike Smith. Weidinger will also lend 

a hand with the Falcons o ense, undertaking such 

duties as managing data, research, daily practice 

scripts, schedules, calendars and assisting with the 

running backs. He joined the Falcons in 2007 as a 

Personnel Scout and prior to arriving in Atlanta, he 

spent seven seasons at the University of Arizona, 

where he served in a number of positions, including 

Assistant Director of Football Operations. Weidinger 

received a degree in Political Science in May of 2004 

and completed his Master’s degree in Information 

Resources and Library Sciences in May 2007. He 

spent late summer and early fall of 2006 in a 

preseason internship with the Falcons. 


KARL PIERBURG 

DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL SYSTEMS/SPECIAL PROJECTS 

Karl Pierburg enters his sixth season with Falcons 

as the team’s Director of Football Systems/Special 

Projects. Prior to arriving in Atlanta, Pierburg worked 

for the Chicago Bears for three seasons as IT manager 

for football systems. During his time in Chicago, he 

handled extensive development work on coaching 

systems and college and pro scouting systems. He 

developed a system that allowed area scouts to 

manage rosters, write scouting reports and access 

other pertinent information. Karl is a graduate of 

Illinois Wesleyan University with a double major in 

Mathematics and Computer Science. He was a fouryear 

letterman in football, earning fi rst team honors 

as an o ensive guard while also being named to the 

academic all-conference fi rst team. Karl and his wife, 

Kathy, have two young daughters, Anna, and Ellie, and 

a young son, Jonathan. 




NICK POLK 

DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL ADMINISTRATION 

Nick Polk begins his third season as the club’s 

Director of Football Administration and seventh 

year overall with the team. From 2004-07, Polk 

served as the team’s Director of Football Operations. 

He works closely with General Manager Thomas 

Dimitro on all contract proposals, negotiations and 

salary cap management. Polk also helps coordinate 

the Falcons compliance with the NFL’s Collective 

Bargaining Agreement and labor related issues. 

Prior to his current role, he spent three seasons 

with the Georgia Force of the AFL handing all 

aspects of football operations. Before working with 

the Force, Polk served as the Director of Football 

Administration before moving to the role of Senior 

Director of Football Operations for NFL Europe. He 

held coaching stints at Lock Haven University (Head 

Coach), James Madison, Brown, Delaware State and 

Southern Connecticut. Polk earned a degree in Health 

and Physical Education from Lock Haven University 

and went on to gain a Master’s degree in Physical 

Education/Higher Education from James Madison. 

Polk lives in Braselton, Georgia with his wife, Michelle 

and two daughters, Maddie (10) and Michaela (8).

ROB GEOFFROY 

CONTROLLER 

Rob Geo roy begins his fi fth season as the team’s 

Controller with a strong background in sports 

business management, accounting, fi nance, and 

operations. Concurrently, Geo roy is the Chief 

Financial O cer of the Falcons Retail and Falcons 

Physical Therapy businesses. He also served in the 

same capacity with the Georgia Force of the AFL 

from 2006-2008. Geo roy began his career with the 

NBA’s Boston Celtics in the fi nance department and 

then moved over to accounting for the NHL’s New 

Jersey Devils Stanley Cup Championship in 1995 

before returning to the Celtics. He left the Celtics after 

a total of nine seasons as Director of Accounting & 

Operations to become the Chief Financial O cer and 

Chief Operating O cer of International Healthcare. 

A graduate of Bentley College, Geo roy and his wife, 

Jennifer, have two daughters, Kathryn and Samantha. 

The Geo roy family resides in Suwanee, Georgia. 

FRANK KLEHA 

SENIOR DIRECTOR OF MEDIA RELATIONS 

Frank Kleha embarks on his 24th season with 

the Falcons and seventh year in his role as Senior 

Director of Media Relations. Some of Kleha’s duties 

include setting up media interviews for players, 

coaches and front o ce personnel with local and 

national reporters from newspapers, television, 

radio stations, and respected internet sites. Kleha 

works directly on the yearly programming needs 

of broadcasting partners, WXIA-TV, and Dave FM, 

and is also the club’s publications Managing Editor 

for the media guide, NFL program, and yearbook. 

Kleha is a graduate of George Mason University. 

For the past two seasons, Kleha has been part of 

a department that was a fi nalist for Pete Rozelle 

Award by PFWA for outstanding service to media. 

He and his wife, Wendy, live with their son, Cody, 

and daughter, Allie, in Roswell, Georgia.

MIKE GILSENAN 

DIRECTOR OF TICKET OPERATIONS 

Mike Gilsenan begins his sixth season with the team 

and has more than 15 years of experience in the sports 

ticketing industry. In his current capacity, he oversees 

the management of all Falcons seat inventory and 

yearly seat relocation program, among other duties. 

He joined the Falcons in 2005 following a 10-year 

career with the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes where he 

most recently was the Director of Ticket Operations. 

Gilsenan started his career in sports in 1995 with the 

Hartford Whalers as a ticket sales intern and sales 

executive. When the team later relocated to Raleigh, 

North Carolina, he was tabbed to create and manage 

the team’s ticket operations in the newly built RBC 

Center. Raised in Connecticut, he received his 

Bachelors degree from Clemson University. Gilsenan 

and his wife, Keri, are proud parents of Mackenzie (7) 

and Jack (8). The Gilsenan’s reside in Powder Springs, 

Georgia. 

DEBBIE KNOWLAN 

DIRECTOR OF TICKET SERVICES 

Debbie Knowlan enters her third season with the 

Falcons after joining the team in November of 

2008 as the Director of Ticket Services. In this 

role, she is responsible for the dedicated service 

team to assist and personalize the experience 

for Falcons season ticket holders. Prior to joining 

the organization, Knowlan served as the Director 

of Season Ticket Services and Retention for the 

Miami Heat of the NBA, working in a similar 

capacity. She also worked for The Ritz-Carlton 

Hotel Company in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands 

as the Manager of Guest Activities and in Miami 

at the Caribbean & Mexico corporate o ce as 

a Sales and Marketing Coordinator. Knowlan 

graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in 

Parks and Recreation with an emphasis toward 

management. She resides in Atlanta, Georgia. 




DAN LEVAK 

DIRECTOR OF NEW MEDIA 

Dan Levak begins his 11th season with the Falcons 

in 2010. In his current role, Levak directs the 

Falcons interactive marketing e orts, including 

the evaluation of emerging technology, managing 

the digital media sta and maintaining a cuttingedge 

postproduction digital video studio. Under his 

guidance, Atlantafalcons.com was named “best 

overall NFL website” by the NFL Internet Network 

in 2005. The Cleveland, Ohio native holds a 

bachelor’s degree in Business Psychology and 

minor in Journalism from Miami University. He also 

completed his postgraduate work in public relations 

at Ohio State University. Following a year covering 

the Browns, Indians and Cavaliers for The Cleveland 

Plain Dealer’s online property, www.cleveland.com, 

Levak joined the Falcons as an Interactive Producer 

in 2000. He and his wife, Christine, reside in Flowery 

Branch, Georgia. 

DON ROVAK 

DIRECTOR OF TICKET SALES & SERVICE 

Don Rovak enters his third season as Director of Ticket 

Sales and Service with the Falcons. In Rovak’s fi rst 

two years, his sta has led the NFL by selling more 

new season tickets than any other team in the league 

in each of his two years with the club. In addition to 

the season ticket initiative, the Falcons new group 

sales department achieved top results working with 

area youth leagues, non-profi ts, and other regional 

partners. Previously, Rovak was Vice President of 

Marketing & Ticketing for the Memphis Redbirds Triple 

A baseball team. Under his leadership, the Redbirds 

opened AutoZone Park and fi nished fi rst or second in 

ballpark attendance each year. Befor the Redbirds, he 

created a new ticket sales department at the Memphis 

Motorsports Park. Rovak graduated from Indiana 

University and he and his wife, Carrie, reside in Atlanta 

with their two sons, Jared and Dustin. 

KENDYL MOSS 

DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY RELATIONS 

Kendyl Baugh Moss begins her eighth season with 

the Falcons and the fourth as Director of Community 

Relations. In this capacity, Moss is responsible for 

community initiatives, player outreach and youth 

football programming. She assumes this position 

after three years of serving as the Manager of 

Event Marketing for the Falcons and one year as 

Program O cer for the Atlanta Falcons Youth 

Foundation. Prior to her role with the Falcons, Moss 

was the Assistant Director of the NCAA Division 

I Men’s Basketball Championship and Final Four. 

Before working with the NCAA, she served as the 

Assistant Director of Championships/Marketing for 

Conference USA. Moss earned her B.S. in Speech 

Communications at the University of Texas. She also 

holds a M.A. in Corporate Communications from 

DePaul University. Moss and her husband, Cory, 

reside in Smyrna, Georgia with their son, Kellen, and 

daughter, Kolby. 

SPENCER TREADWELL 

DIRECTOR OF LOGISTICS & FACILITIES 

Spencer Treadwell enters his eighth season as the Falcons 

Director of Logistics & Facilities. Treadwell continues 

to oversee all the logistical operations for the Falcons, 

including team travel, training camp, game operations and 

supervises the Falcons headquarters in Flowery Branch. 

Treadwell will also serve as a liaison between football 

operations and the organization as a whole. His main task 

will be to coordinate the team’s various intradepartmental 

e orts. Treadwell also served as the NFL liaison for the 

league during Super Bowl XLIII. He joined the organization’s 

marketing department in 1995 and transitioned into 

logistics during the Falcons run to Super Bowl XXXIII 

in 1998. Treadwell is a graduate of Tucker High School 

and received his Business Administration degree from 

Presbyterian College in 1995. Treadwell and his wife, Julie, 

are the proud parents of two daughters, Avery and Alli, and 

one son, Zach. The Treadwell’s reside in Buford, Georgia.

KAREN WALTERS 

DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES 

Karen Walters enters her seventh season with the 

Falcons and third as Director of Human Resources. 

Walters was hired by the club in 2003 as Human 

Resources Manager. She boasts over 20 years of 

service in the human resources fi eld and her career 

began at the age of 19 as a human resources intern 

with Unisys Corporation, a Fortune 100 IT fi rm. 

After graduating from Oglethorpe University in 

1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business 

Administration and Behavioral Science, Walters 

joined Electrolux Corporation as a Benefi ts 

Administrator. Her current role with the Falcons 

involves implementing a comprehensive human 

resources strategy across all of the Arthur M. Blank 

Family of Businesses, including strategies such as 

associate development, performance management, 

and succession planning. Walters and her husband, 

Tommy, have one daughter, Madalyn (16), and a 

son, Ross (13), and reside in Dawsonville, Georgia. 

RODDY WHITE 

DIRECTOR OF EVENT MARKETING 

Roddy White is a veteran of 15 years in the NFL and 

various major sporting events. He begins his ninth 

season as Director of Event Marketing with the 

Falcons. White is responsible for the club’s special 

events, game presentation, creative services, mascot 

program, cheerleading program, advertising and 

promotions. Under White’s stewardship, the Falcons 

have attracted star acts in various music genres 

such as James Brown, Ashanti, Sugarland, The 

Temptations, Travis Tritt, Ludacris, LeAnn Rimes, 

NeYo and the Pointer Sisters as regular performers 

at home games. Prior to his appointment with the 

Falcons, he spent six seasons with the Jacksonville 

Jaguars as the club’s Director of Special Events and 

Promotions. A graduate of the University of Georgia, 

he lives with his wife, Patti, and daughters, Whitney 

and Sydney, in Alpharetta, Georgia. 


KEVIN WINSTON 

SENIOR DIRECTOR OF PLAYER DEVELOPMENT 

Kevin Winston begins his sixth season with the 

Falcons in 2010. Before his arrival in Atlanta, he spent 

fi ve seasons with the New York Jets in the player 

development department. In 2008, Winston and the 

Falcons were the winners of the Outstanding Career 

Development Program, which focuses on players 

gaining exposure to business opportunities, interests 

outside of football and work in the community. He 

also oversaw an ‘08 rookie class that won the Rookie 

Class Commitment Award. Some of Winston’s 

responsibilities include helping players with career 

counseling, fi nancial & family matters and postfootball 

career options. He also coordinates alumni 

relations for the club. The NFL has honored Winston 

with the “most outstanding player development 

department” in 2003-04 in New York. Kevin and his 

wife, Dana have one son, Matthew Kevin.
