<strong>High</strong>lighters, who are first<br />
place national academic<br />
champions with a cumulative<br />
team GPA of 3.71.<br />
The girls won ten<br />
awards in a recent national/internationalcompetition<br />
with over 130 schools<br />
at the University of North<br />
Texas in Den<strong>to</strong>n.<br />
“Ms. Quinn and I are extremely<br />
proud of our team,”<br />
direc<strong>to</strong>r Katie Griffin said.<br />
“Thanks <strong>to</strong> our teachers, we<br />
have the smartest group of<br />
girls out there. The team<br />
<strong>High</strong>lighters bring home American Championship Awards<br />
made friends with girls from<br />
Japan and have lots of s<strong>to</strong>ries<br />
<strong>to</strong> share.”<br />
The <strong>High</strong>lighters were<br />
fifth runners-up in the medium<br />
class school category<br />
and placed sixteenth in the<br />
international champion<br />
overall ranking against all<br />
teams, regardless of size.<br />
