of St. Mary's county, and to provide for the
levying a tax on the assessable property of
said county, to compensate the said Posey
for the loss of his slave William, whose death
was occasioned by an affray in the village of
Chaptico, in said county, in the month of
January, eighteen hundred and fifty-eight.

support of pauper lunatics in the Maryland
hospital, by reducing the amount to be paid
