Adult Education
The Passion Narratives: Gospel by Gospel presented by
Ms. Angeline Hubert from the Institute of Religious and Pastoral
Studies. SUNDAYS, March 12, 19, 26 in the Drama Room,
following the 9:00 a.m. Mass. We would like to have an idea of how

“I Walked Where He Walked!”
A presentation of Deacon Ken’s Trip to the Holy Land
As many of you know, thanks to our STA Knights of
Columbus, I recently had the awesome experience of going on a
pilgrimage to the Holy Land. It was indeed a profound experience, and
as part of our Adult Education Program, I would very much like to
share that experience with you. I will attempt to convey some of the
incredible and ministry-changing events of our journey. The presentation
continues at 7:30 each Wednesday evening (March 15, 22 & 29) in
the Drama Room in the School. Fr. John will be celebrating Mass at
6:15 p.m. each Wednesday of Lent, so you might want to begin the
evening by joining us for Mass.
In Power Point format, I’ll show many of the pictures that
I took including Elijah’s cave, the Basilica of the Annunciation in
Nazareth, the birthplace of John the Baptist, the birthplace of Jesus in
Bethlehem, various sights along the Sea of Galilee, the Garden of
Gethsemane, Golgotha, the empty tomb and the Church of the Holy
Sepulcher, and many, many others.
In keeping with the Lenten season, however, the
presentations will not be just pictures and narrative. As we walk our
Lenten journey, we will pray the Scriptures associated with the
corresponding events of Jesus’ life. My prayer is that you will have a
touching spiritual Lenten experience of the reality of the life and death
and resurrection of Jesus.

St. Jude Library Closed for CRHP Retreats
The St. Jude Library will be closed for the CRHP retreats of March 11-12
and March 18-19. If you have any items to return, please use the book drop
located in St. Anne Hall on days other than the retreat days.
Lector Training Class
Deacon Ken will have one more meeting, Tuesday, March 14 at 2:00 p.m.
in the church, for training of new Lectors and re-commissioning of veteran
ones. Parishioners who would like to serve in this capacity must be
practicing Catholics, registered in the parish for at least six months, and be
screened according to the Safe Environment Program of our Parish.
Both veteran and new participants need to attend one class if they are a
Lector, or would like to become a Lector.
Parish Social Next Sunday, March 19
The Holy Name Society invites everyone to the Parish Social, for coffee,
doughnuts and juice in the School Cafeteria after 9 am Mass, next Sunday.
The St. Vincent de Paul Society thanks all of you for
your donations to the poor box during the month of
February. Your generous donations totaled $1175.50. The
poor box is located in the back of the church.
St. Thomas Aquinas - Preschool Round-up
Please join us for a Preschool Round-up on Sunday, March 26, 10 a.m.noon
at the STA Preschool. St. Thomas Aquinas Preschool offers PK3 and
PK4 classes in a variety of weekday combinations, as well as Stay and
Play options for children who are 3, 4 or 5 by September 1. Our talented
and experienced preschool faculty will be on hand to lead tours of the
classrooms and answer any questions you may have. Refreshments,
balloons and more will be available! Also, bring your little ones by to see
our surprise guest visitor! The Preschool is located south of the
gymnasium and next to the playground. Call Margaret Stubbs, Preschool

Safe Environment Awareness Training Sessions

If you have a RED badge, please DO NOT attend this session. Letters
are going out with the dates, times and locations of Annual Awareness
Update sessions.
Children’s Garden Memorial Bricks
Loved ones wishing to remember a child who has passed away can do so
by ordering a memorial brick to be placed in the STA Children's Garden.
Cost for the brick is $75. Order forms may be picked up from the school
office, church rectory and vestibule. For questions, please call Connie
Wentz at 214-319-8910. The deadline for placing the order is Wednesday,
April 12, 2006.
Our Lady’s Altar Society
Join Our Lady’s Altar Society Tuesday, March 14 in the
St. Anne Hall at 1:00 p.m. Put on your green and join us in
celebrating St. Patrick’s Day—Brownie Shytles and Ye Olde
Merrie Players revisit OLAS to play Irish music.
Refreshments will follow. Please note this meeting is on the SECOND
Tuesday of the month.—OLAS members, if you haven’t received your
2005-2006 Membership Directory & Yearbook, copies are available in
the Gift Shop.

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Singles (STACS)
Join STACS at this month's Theology on Tap, to hear Fr. Alphonse
Nazzaro who will speak at 7:00 p.m. at The Tipperary Inn (Skillman and
Live Oak). Come at 6:30 for Socializing. Father John's Prayer Group for
Singles continues in the St. Joseph Room on Thursday, March 16 at 6:30
(new time during Lent) for study of each Sunday's upcoming Gospel and
