breeding programme is constantly developing new varieties of temperate
grass species that outperform what was originally considered “great grass”.

In order to make selection easier for you the main attributes of the species are
given. This can be combined with the main characteristics of each single

Seeds- DLF-TRIFOLIUM is the world’s largest exporter of grass seed.
Production from more than 70.000 ha in Denmark is exported around the
world. The Danish climate allows for high quality, high seed yield, but
production from Holland and other European countries and the USA is
also utilised. This arrangement enables DLF to supply the right quality
seed to the right place at the right time.
Science- the breeding of improved varieties is given highest priority. The
breeding programmes are either located at our own stations or with partners
throughout Europe and the USA. The resultant varieties are tested world wide
for adaptation to various climates in order to provide end users with the best
varieties to achieve their aim of perfection.
