The IFS/Event Server function defines procedures
that automatically create messages from the system
to the user. For example, it might send a message
to a maintenance manager when certain limits for
condition-based maintenance have been exceeded,
or send a signal when a payment authorization
officer has time reports that need to be approved.
Using applications created in the IFS/Event Server,
the system calls attention to reports that need to
be addressed without personnel wasting their
time looking for information.
