CORPORATE SHAREHOLDERS Corporate Shareholders invest in Central Pennsylvania with annual donations to Leadership Harrisburg Area for three-year terms. Corporate Shareholders have provided thousands of dollars in tuition assistance to participants in LHA programs and have funded the coordination of team projects with more than 40 non profi t organizations. Corporate Shareholders help strengthen LHA’s ability to be responsive to community needs and meet the growing demands for our services. FROM THE PRESIDENT In his 1970 essay “The Servant as Leader,” Robert Greenleaf stated, “All that is needed to rebuild community … is for enough servant leaders to show the way; not by mass movements, but by each servant leader demonstrating his own unlimited liability for a quite specifi c community-related group.” If anything defi nes Leadership Harrisburg Area (LHA) and its impact, it is this quote. More than 1,000 servant leaders, LHA alumni from students to business executives — are helping others throughout Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry counties and, in doing so, creating immeasurable community impacts! You might not know their names or recognize their faces, but throughout the pages of this directory are people who want to improve the quality of life throughout Central Pennsylvania. Use this directory in the spirit of building community and call on LHA and its alumni to provide leadership and support for a nonprofi t organization, related cause, or service project. Congratulations to the individuals who have graduated from our Community Leadership Series and Executive Leadership Series over the years, and to the companies that have supported the participation of their employees. Congratulations to the students who have graduated from the Youth Community Development Team and their parents for recognizing the leadership potential in the youth of Harrisburg. Finally, congratulations to the founders of LHA, who, 25 years ago, had a vision for a better community and dedicated their ideas, efforts and talents to seeing it through.
