Preservice Teachers:
KATS is willing to make an investment in you!
At
KATS will fund scholarships for KATS Kamp pre-registration fees for preservice K-12
science teachers at Kansas colleges and universities. KATS Kamp, the organization’s annual
conference, will take place at Rock Springs 4-H Center April 15-17.
Scholarships are only available through pre-registration (postmarked by April 1). Those
who register on-site at KATS Kamp will receive a discount for preservice teachers, but may
not apply for the scholarship on-site.
To apply for the scholarship, please complete these two pages and a KATS Kamp preregistration.
The pre-registration form is not included in this scholarship application, but may
be accessed at http://www.kats.org. The scholarship pays $100 towards the registration
fee of $120. Preservice teachers also receive a complimentary KATS membership for 1
year. Preservice teachers will be responsible for $20 and their own meal and lodging costs
while at KATS Kamp, costs ranging from $16 to $111 depending on the services you choose.
This scholarship is available to elementary education and secondary science education
majors at Kansas colleges and universities, or Spring of 2011 graduates of Kansas
institutions who are seeking a teaching assignment in Kansas schools.
