Kamstrup’s ultrasonic heat meter has been developed on the basis of response from
our customers. The fact is that we want to make sure that our meters fulfil your
requirements to heat consumption measurement.
MULTICAL ® is constructed with focus on precision and flexibility. In addition
to its primary function – heating and cooling measurement – the meter
is equipped with a wide range of features such as data logging, tariff
control, flow and power limitation and leak surveillance.
We give priority to high quality and stability. Among other things
all our meters are thoroughly tested – not just in our own laboratory
– but also by national testing authorities. Therefore, you can always rely on
measuring data delivered by MULTICAL ® .

MULTICAL ® is used for heat and
cooling measurement in all water
based systems – open as well as
closed. Thus, you save both
installation and operating costs.
MULTICAL ® is available with
flanged or threaded flow sensors
in sizes from qp 0.6 m³/h to
qp 1000 m³/h.
In addition to its own data
MULTICAL ® accumulates the consumption
of electricity and water
meters connected via two pulse
inputs, reading energy and water
consumption simultaneously.

The meter is perfect for installations
requiring e.g. monthly reports,
indication of special data or data
logging for up to 15 years.
The temperature sensors are a
Pt500 pocket sensor set with cable
up to 10 m or a set of short direct
sensors with cable up to 3 m.
In installations with two flow
sensors MULTICAL ® can carry out
current leak surveillance. If a preprogrammed
limit is exceeded, the
meter sends an automatic alarm
message to the district heating
power plant or the control centre.

You can read MULTICAL ® manually
or by means of an infra-red, optical
reading head which is connected to
a hand-held terminal or a PC.
Another option is to read the
energy consumption via a communication
module mounted in the
meter’s connection base. We offer
a wide range of module solutions
to be mounted from the factory or
retrofitted without reverification.
MULTICAL ® is produced from
environmentally friendly materials
which are easy to recycle or dispose
of once the meter is to be replaced.
If you focus on reliable consumption data read with varying frequency
according to customer type, Kamstrup’s Ellipse communication system
with automatic meter reading (AMR) is the best solution.
Data can be transferred to your analysing or calculation programs and
directly to your invoicing system. Alternatively, Kamstrup can undertake
the entire process, so that you simply receive payment for the energy
consumed, leaving you free to concentrate on customer service and utility
improvements etc.
