2013 KHSAA STATE TENNIS TOURNAMENT SEEDING COMMITTEE
SEEDING MEETING FORMAT - MONDAY, MAY 13, 2013
3:00 p.m. (ET) Overview
KHSAA State Tennis Tournament Seeding Committee members meet with Assistant
Commissioner Michael Barren and Seeding Committee Chair Kathy Johnston. At this time
they review procedures for the seeding meeting and draw.
KHSAA State Tournament Seeding Committee
The KHSAA State Tennis Tournament Seeding Committee consists of a Seeding
Committee Chair, Regional Managers and/or Representatives from each tennis region
and representatives from the Kentucky USTA.
Team Draw for Both Girls & Boys
At the State Seed Meeting, a blind draw will be held to determine
what section winners will play against what section winners with
regard to the semifinals and finals.
3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (ET) Boys Seeding
KHSAA State Tennis Tournament Seeding Committee members select
Seeded players based on player information submitted by Regional
Tournament Managers.
5:00 p.m.-5:15 p.m. (ET) Coaches Meeting
The Committee Chair will announce the seeded players. There will be a comment period
(maximum of 15 minutes) for Committee members and coaches in attendance. Should a
challenge be made by a coach, written documentation of match results must be provided.
5:15 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. (ET) Girls Seeding
KHSAA State Tennis Tournament Seeding Committee members select
Seeded players based on player information submitted by Regional
Tournament Managers.
6:45 p.m.-7:00 p.m. (ET) Coaches Meeting
The Committee Chair will announce the seeded players. There will be a comment period
(maximum of 15 minutes) for Committee members and coaches in attendance. Should a
challenge be made by a coach, written documentation of match results must be provided

7:00p.m. (ET) KHSAA State Tournament Draw
The Draw is verified by Kentucky USTA Representatives.
