GENERAL DUTIES<br />

Performs teaching, research, and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise as noted below. Shares<br />

responsibility for committee and department assignments, performing administrative, supervisory, and<br />

other functions as may be assigned.<br />

CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION<br />

The Department seeks an Immunologist with research interests of biomedical relevance. The<br />

successful candidate will be expected to develop a research program leading to peer-reviewed<br />

publications and external funding. The successful candidate will participate in providing both<br />

undergraduate and graduate research experiences for our students in the B.A., M.A., and Ph.D.<br />

programs. Teaching responsibilities include courses at the graduate and undergraduate level including<br />

introductory biology courses.<br />

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<br />

Ph.D. degree in area(s) of expertise, or equivalent as noted below. Also required are the ability to<br />

teach successfully, interest in productive scholarship or creative achievement, and ability to cooperate<br />

with others for the good of the institution.<br />

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS<br />

Ph.D. in the biological sciences. Demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals and<br />

evidence of effectiveness in teaching. Postdoctoral experience and evidence of successful extramural<br />

funding considered assets.<br />

COMPENSATION<br />

Commensurate with education and experience.<br />
